Mauna Lisaby Pete Mitas

For months, years, decades on end, Mona Lisa never blinked, never moved, and never slept.

One night she had a glimmer of an idea:

It was time for a break!

She leaped out of the frame and hurriedly ran to Charles De Gaulle Airport.

Too late, security guards noticed that the frame was empty.

Flying on a jet to Hawaii, Mona enjoyed the view from her window seat.

After landing in Honolulu, a lady in a grass skirt placed a lei over her head and showed her where to get a taxi for Waikiki.

In Waikiki, Mona was thrilled to find a gorgeous pink flower for her hair at the International Market Place.

Then she went to the beach hoping to join Hawaiians enjoying a luau.

She met a man who sang to her while he played a ukulele.

He thought she was a beautiful wahinee.

He sang:

Aloha Mauna Lisa -

Take off that mumulets go for a swim;youve got a real hot bodyand I love that grin.
