Alma did some colouring in this month but has declared she does not enjoy it.

She wants things to be neat and this skill isn’t there yet, so she decided to not do it.

In my opinion, for a child who isn’t 3 yet, she is actually doing a good job... But she sees her sister’s colour in

skills and thinks she isn’t up to scratch yet.

What she really likes is... Stickers!!!

She became obsessed with workbooks with stickers (she calls it “dedet da im kot”)

The Hello Kitty workbook I brought her was a huge success!

She especially likes the activities where you need to recreate a picture to look like the example on top (left)

or the “make a scene” ones.

When she finished the Hello Kitty workbook she started on another big one, with colours, animals, shapes etc

(bottom).

She insists on doing them on her own but screams if I move away as she can’t read the instructions and is

very motivated to do a lot at one go.

When she finished all that (took her a couple of days...)

I took out workbooks in

Hebrew about a variety of topics.

She was doing workbooks by the

kilo!

Hahgoot noticed Alma was getting more workbooks so she wanted some stickers

workbooks too. I found her a nice one with Angry Birds Star Wars.

After finishing a pile of Hebrew stickers workbooks, Alma did a My Little Pony workbook

and Hahgoot was very happy to help.

It was a funny situation, as Alma was a bit young for these and Hahgoot was starting to become a

bit old for them... Never boring for me!

I got dad involved with her and the stickers books as well, as she was

bugging me to do workbooks all day and I couldn’t really get on with any

other tasks...

Then I found this great dress ups sticker book that both girls wanted to do together and I got a bit of

peace of mind to get on with cooking etc (it’s an expensive workbook, but it was worth it!)

When the girls ran out of scenes to dress but were left

with stickers, I suggested they made their own designs.

Even Alma made her own attempt to create a

dress ups doll (left)

Next I found Alma a farm animals workbook.

She discovered the reward stickers and named them “Yay

stickers”.

She doesn’t really need reward stickers,

she has oodles of motivation...

I was running out of workbooks, and some days just tried to offer her a

blank sticker book to fill...

In our next presentation:Alma’s artistic exploration

(when she isn’t sticking stickers everywhere...)
