‘It was during my time at Worcester

that I began to explore issues of

gender and sexuality. I really enjoyed

my time on the Media and Culture

course, so after graduating I studied

for a Masters Degree in Gender,

Sexuality and Culture. I now work for

MEC Global, working on the

development of the Nintendo Brand.’

‘After studying Media and Culture at the University of Worcester, I was lucky enough to find graduate employment within weeks of handing in my dissertation.

I joined MediaCom as a trainee and the company enrolled me onto the IPA Foundation Course.

Since I passed I have been working on well-known brands, such as MG and Bentley and as the media industry is all about networking, I often get to go on amazing trips – to concerts, live comedy, even the Olympics!’

Creative Media:

David Withers,Head of Design, DRP.

‘The structure of the course and the tutoring method encourages students to challenge the norm and to push the boundaries of their creative comfort zone.

As a direct result of the course’s willingness to interact with the business in a live capacity, I have been able to offer direct employment to three students straight from graduation – all of whom are now flourishing in the business and have quickly become established, valued and respected members of my team.’

‘I have always aimed, from an early age, to have a successful career and be prepared for it. The University of Worcester certainly is what shaped my path to achieve my goal.

I have spent three years with some of the most inspiring people and lecturers -people who aim to do and be more, therefore motivate you to develop. I was expected to use many different devices and techniques, and to think creatively.

I am now a Junior Designer at the Midlands’ biggest digital agency.’

[a] regular basis.’

‘Altogether I can honestly say that I

will never view the world around us

in the same way as I have [done]

before.’
