ROSANNA DI MICHELE è originaria dell’Abruzzo, una regione italiana a circa 250 km a est di Roma, con il Mare Adriatico, sulla sua costa. Rosanna ama condividere la sua passione per la cucina tipica abruzzese: antiche ricette tramandate di generazione in generazione e non insegnate in nessuna scuola. Rosanna è cresciuta in cucina, aiutando i genitori con la pizzeria a conduzione familiare.Grazie al suo amore per la cucina e all’attaccamente alla sua terra, promuove le tradizioni culinarie abruzzesi e i suoi prodotti nelle varie manifestazioni locali, nazionali e internazionali.La regione, grazie alla sua acqua di sorgente purissima, produce la migliore pasta a livello mondiale: non a caso la pasta è il piatto preferito di Rosanna, realizzata in ogni possibile versione e combinazione: con frutti di mare, carni, verdure formaggi locali come il pecorino e persino il cioccolato.Rosanna ha partecipato a numerosi eventi culinari ad esempio presso Whole Foods, Dipalo Fine Foods in Little Italy, Marymount School, City University di New York, festival di Arthur Avenue, e al di fuori della Grande Mela in Connecticut, Generoso Pope Foundation in Westchester, Long Island e New Jersey, organizzando esperienze gastronomiche esclusive. Rosanna porta un tocco unico in ogni presentazione attraendo numerose persone appassionate di cibo e dà spazio alla cucina che porta con sé da quando era piccola. Un menù con i piatti della sua tradizione per una cucina che usa ottimi ingredienti. E’ la cucina di casa, quella che prepara per la sua famiglia.

ROSANNA DI MICHELE is a native of Abruzzo, an Italian region about 150 miles East of Rome, with the Adriatic Sea on its coast. Rosanna loves to share her passion for Abruzzo’s typical cuisine: ancient skills passed from generation to generation and not taught in any school.Rosanna grew up in the kitchen, helping her parents with the family-owned restaurant. Her affinity for cooking continues as she refined her skills and became a private chef and an ambassador of Abruzzo’s culinary traditions and distinctive products.The region, thanks to its purest spring water, makes the best pasta production worldwide: it is not surprising that pastas are Rosanna’s favorites, made in any possible version and combination: seafood, meats, vegetables, local cheeses like pecorino and even chocolate....Rosanna was featured in numerous culinary events at Whole Foods, the Italian Consulate General of New York, iconic DiPalo Fine Foods in little Italy, the Marymount School, the City University of New York, festivals on Arthur Avenue, and outside the Big Apple in Connecticut, Generoso Pope Foundation in Westchester, Long Island and New Jersey, always arranging exclusive gastronomic experiences.Rosanna brings a unique touch to each presentation, always attracting and influencing a wild crowd of food enthusiasts.“Here I have the chance to give light to the way of cooking that I have learnt since I was young. L’insaccato per eccellenza...la Ventricina dell’alto vastese, raffinato l’uso delle spezie locali quali l’oro giallo di Navelli (zafferano) e il peperoncino. A unire i tanti prodotti in piatti armonici, l’olio, frutto degli oliveti più pregiati delle colline vastesi.

I♥ ItalyUna cucina così varia, patrimonio dell’umanità dell’Unesco (dieta medi-terranea), richiede vini adeguati e ver-satili come il Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, il Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo e il Trebbiamo d’Abruzzo. La costa abruzzese si distingue per la presenza dei suoi trabocchi, spettaco-lari macchine da pesca, dei 3 parchi nazionali che hanno permesso all’A-bruzzo di aggiudicarsi l’appellativo di “museo en plein air”. È tutta questa storia che voglio porta-re, con i miei piatti nelle vostre vite, fa-cendovi assaggiare un po’ d’Abruzzo, con l’invito a visitarlo.

A cuisine ad varied UNESCO World Heritage (Mediterranean diet), as this requires versatile and perfect wines such as Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo and Trebbiano d’Abruzzo. The coast along the region of Abruzzo is characterized by the many spectacular “Trabocco” fishing rigs, the 3 national parks and 30 natural reserves. There are also numerous castles alla round Abruzzo, thus the region as earned the title of “Museum en plein air”. All means of the dishes I prepare. My hope is that you will come in Abruzzo to discover it in person.
