Sketch DesignsThe sketch designs have been based on a combination of ideas from the first module, with a folding fan as the foundation. Although each of the two different main materials of the fan (paper and bamboo) give the design unique qualities the general folding shape which is incorporated stays the same.

As some of the key words used for this concept is contrast and varying personal belief regarding personal spa-ce there are 2 different sides to this design.One solid and on more fluid.

Different materials as well as different shapes are used in this preliminary sketch to represent the diffe-rent point of views and cultural contrasts that exist when people think of personal space

The general shape of the design curls around the body, mimicking how the folding fan twists without the pin joint holding it together
