Andrew, displayed his Turismo Blue Monaro CV8, auto 2006 model. With 91000kms it was a display car for Frankston Holden. He is the second owner.
Geoff brought in his LE HX Monaro bought last year from a lady in Mackay. She had purchased it from the original owner in Melbourne. Garaged and with low mileage, and also has the original honeycomb wheels in storage. It sports a 308, auto and a new mild camshaft. Geoff advised it may be shortly for sale.
General Business
1. History of the MCoV: There is a proposal to write a History of the Monaro Club of Victoria, and to provide both printed and video versions. We are looking for Members to assist, particularly anyone with video shooting and editing expertise. We would also welcome help in sourcing equipment (camcorder, tripod, editing clobber – particularly anything that someone might be prepared to donate!). Contact Steve Kane (VP), or Phil Blake (Sec). All offers of assistance and suggestions most welcome.
2. Accomodation for the NSW Nationals. Details are on the website. A motel has been booked specifically for members. For those attending, you may wish to start booking as soon as possible.
A reminder to all members on CH plates. For all your correspondence 3. to Paul Black address is PO BOX.5330 Clayton. 3168. For any other correspondence the usual PO address of Dandenong is applicable.
4. For any members wishing to share their stories about their Monaro, contact the committee and have your own history published on the web page.
5. The club received a letter from John and his wife Judy, the original founders of the club Detailing its early history. This should be on the web site shortly.
6. A photography student Phillip Hay is looking to photograph a white Monaro HT, for a project for his course. If any member could assist. Contact. [email protected]
7. The club presently has two awards for members named after two former members, Roger Jarman and Barry Methven. The committee is now endeavering to discover more information about these two former members. If any members can assist, could they please contact the committee.
Website.
There have been recent changes to the club website and associated software made by the webmaster Phil Sykes and agreed to by the committee at the last meeting. Briefly, the club has changed the web host and associated software from HAVI and OUR CAR CLUB to an organisation known as Wild Apricot. Hopefully this will add more security and ensure the club website is effectively and securely maintained. The new system also has advantages such as more flexibility and professional maintenance.The cost of the new system is in the order of $756 per year, more than previously but considering what has been spent in recent months in repairing hacking attacks, should be simpler and more cost effective.
One of our members recently returned from his sailing expedition around south east Asia. Bryan Drummond, has sold his yacht and is now embarking on a project of turning his Barina into an electric vehicle. It will have a 22 hp electric motor comprising 45 lithium ion batteries. We all wish Bryan all the best on his current project.

Its a 2005 CV8, we purchased the car in May this year with 91,000 kms from a dealer in docklands. It belonged to a sister of someone who worked there and was traded in for a Mercedes. We believe it was originally a display car at Franktson Holden and was not put on the road until January 2006, We are the 2nd owner. The biggest actraction was the Trusimo blue colour and
the upgrades that occured with the VZ Monaro as we previously owned a 2004 CV8 Monaro. It is intended to keep the car original and enjoy driving it shows and events. Regards, Andrew and Janet

Paul Ferguson is trying to track down his HZ GTS he owned when he was 19-20.
HZ GTS 308 4 speed with full electrics doors and windows with bone colour trim and paint colour is Supermint
Had a tow bar and the wheels are chrome craigers When I purchased the car the number plates were BGK 711 however I
purchased new personal plates HZ-5000 It may have a turbo 400 trans in it because when I had a hernia I put the auto
in it so I could still drive. I cant remember if I put the manual box back in, not sure but I think I did
I spoke to vic roads and the HZ 5000 are taken but are not on a car. Maybe It’s using club reg now ?
I’m thinking the car may be with a car club and someone would recognize it.

Very good original rust-free condition WITH Roadworthy certificate. Delivered in Feb 1984 by Des Murphy Holden in Narrandera outback NSW, built to customer order. Original owner’s manual. 247,000Kms on the clock.
Original Barbados Blue metallic paint - car has never been repainted !! No structural rust at all. Sills, doors and guards absolutely rust free as a result of the dry Narrandera climate. Some surface rust and fading on the roof. The tray has hardly been used, not full of dents like most 40+ year old utes. Original tonneau cover.
New parts; front suspension and new shockers all round, disk rotors and pads windscreen, safety belts. Near new tyres.
