Assignments:

1. Case facilitation/presentation – Each week a different student will prepare and present a case study before the class. Cases will be assigned by the instructor using a grid at the beginning of the course. You may opt to use Powerpoint, but other forms of visual aids are welcome. The purpose of the case study is to illustrate one or more main points from the chapter. The running case has an assignment for each chapter of the text, and illustrates a fictional company called “Dirt Bikes U.S.A.” (See the Laudon website for details). Additional cases are taken from the business world. A portion of the presentation will be graded on the insightfulness of your question(s) and your ability to engage the class in discussion. Time will be limited to 15-20 minutes. A complete rubric of assessment criteria can be found in the Course Documents section of Blackboard, Rubrics folder.

2. Midterm Exam – will cover portions of Chapters 1-6, focusing on topics discussed in class as well as those incorporated into the online quizzes for these chapters.
