Promotional
The music video will increase the publicity of the band as it can be shown on TV to thousands of viewers. Also it can be put on Youtube where fans can also watch and listen to the video. Currently the 'Nas - I can' music
video has 1,198,592views. Nas also travels around the world on tour performing to hundreds of different audiences in a number of different countries/cities.
Extension of income
After a certain number of views Youtube start to pay the artist. Nas is featured on a number of different merchandise including T-shirts, posters and key rings, all items help increase Nas' income as his fans will buy them.
Extension of outlets
Nas extends his outlets by means of Youtube, radio broadcasting and many music channels on TV such as MTV.
Synergy
Nas is currently signed to The Island Def Jam Music label. It has become one of the most successful labels in the industry. However Def Jam is a smaller label owned by the Universal Music Group.
Producers strategies
Social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and MySpace are the more recent methods of promotion for artists recently as technology has progressed over the years. Also Tours play a big role in promoting the artist and making money.
