Guess the secret word – rules of the game
Have a look at the rules of the game before you start to play.
Guess the secret word – rules
Preparation
Split up into two teams of two or three (team A and B). •
Sit around a table. One player from team A sits next to one •player from team B so that you can control each other.
Shuffle the cards and place them face-down on the table. •
You need a sand timer or watch to limit the time. •
Rules
Win as many cards as you can by guessing the secret word! •
A player from team A picks a card and explains what the •word at the top of the card means. The player next to him (team B) makes sure he doesn’t use the taboo words and watches the time. If the player makes a mistake, the card goes to the other team.
The team mates try to guess the secret word. •
If they do, the team keeps the card.
If they don’t, put the card back under the pile.
The game is over when all the cards have been guessed. Each team counts •their cards.
You may not use
any of the words on the cards nor a word from the same •family.
gestures and sounds. •
words rhyming with the taboo words. •
translations (different languages). •
Have fun!

als Which C…? (M 1) und Name three things … (M 2).
Die verwendeten Begriffe stammen aus den Bereichen Büroalltag, Unternehmensbereiche, Bewer-
bung, Marketing, Meetings.
START – whether – ob – also – auch – price – Kaufpreis – get – bekommen – quiet – ruhig – chef –
Koch – meaning – Bedeutung – meet – treffen – ad – Werbeanzeige – become – werden – weather –
Wetter – it’s – es ist – take place – stattfinden – at least – zumindest – whole – ganz – although
– obwohl – opinion – Meinung – boss – Chef – add – hinzufügen – hole – Loch – quite – ziemlich –
prize – Preis, Auszeichnung – its – sein (Pronomen) – meat – Fleisch – at last – schließlich – happen –
zufällig passieren – handy – praktisch; handlich – life – Leben – mobile phone – Handy – live – leben,
wohnen; in Echtzeit – THE END
