Welcome to theBulldog Family!

Welcome note from the SA President:Your residence hall room is an opportunity for you to make your mark. You’ll walk into a blank canvas with a mattress and with time you’ll make it your own. By the end of the semester, your combination of creative furniture arrangements, posters, and other unique keep-sakes you acquire throughout your freshman year will make it so that this room is unlike any other. This is your campus. Mississippi State University is an incredible place to find new friendships, discover your passions, and get a first-class education. Unlike your residence hall room, the effect you make on your university can be felt for years to come. Generations before you have left their mark on this institution and have made it as incredible as it is. It’s your turn. There are more than 250 student organizations across campus seeking to make your experience at Mississippi State the best it can be. Visit one.msstate.edu to browse through all of the organizations on campus. Get involved, and don’t wait! The sooner you become involved, the sooner you can begin to leave your mark on this historic campus. This is your State. This is your home. Welcome.

Your MSU Student ID Card

To check in, you must have your MSU Student ID card you received at Orientation. If you do not have an MSU Student ID Card, you will need to visit the Campus Card Office between the hours of 8 a.m. to noon on August 9 in Allen Hall room 108.

Parking and Unloading

As mentioned previously, we will have volunteers at the halls to assist as you move in. We ask that the driver stay in the vehicle while others in your group, as well as our volunteers, assist in unloading your car. After items have been unloaded, we will assist you in getting it to your room while the driver of your vehicle parks. This will help everyone unload and move in as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Recycling

In an initiative to be environmentally friendly across campus, we are beginning a new MVNU2MSU recycling initiative. As you move in, please place cardboard in your hallway, so our volunteers are able to collect and take it to our designated recycling stations.
