Introduction
This Neighbourhood Action Plan (NAP) has been developed for Woodley and Bredbury by Stockport Homes in partnership with customers, services and organisations working and living in the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is located within Stockport Homes’ East Area Housing Team, the area is managed by one Neighbourhood Housing Officer (NHO) and contact details are shown on the front page.
The NAP covers two primary housing estates; Oldham Drive, Woodley and Goyt Valley, Bredbury and a number of dispersed properties across the neighbourhood. Stockport Homes manages 659 properties, including 62 bungalows, 289 flats, 277 houses and 31 maisonettes. In addition Stockport Homes manages 26 garage units and landscaped areas within the neighbourhood.
NAPs are influenced by a range of existing polices, strategies and action plans at national, regional and local levels. The information used to develop the plan links to Stockport Council’s strategic plans and supports Place and People strategic objectives. The NAP has been developed by analysing data about the area, looking at current and developing policies and plans in the area, results of consultation with customers and talking to other partners and services about their plans for their areas.
Stockport Homes will work with its customers and partners to deliver the NAP by taking account of it within business and financial planning, by co-ordinating resources on agreed priorities within the neighbourhood. Stockport Homes and partners will work together to maximize any external funding opportunities.
