Unit D/DNI - Application of health and safety in the workplace • A workplace-based practical assignment that covers the

application of understanding related to units IA, IB and IC.

The NEBOSH International Diploma classroom course involves attendance at six face-to-face study periods that can be taken as units over a period of time or as a complete fast-track programme. Each of the study periods for Units IA, IB and IC are separated by a private study period enabling the application of learning to the workplace. The study periods lead up to the separate examination days, allowing time for further private study.

Unit ID/DNI - Application of health and safety in the workplaceThis unit consists of a practical assignment that covers the application of understanding related to the other three units of the qualification. The unit is assessed by a written assignment which consists of between 8000 - 12000 words and is designed to test practical knowledge of Units IA, IB and IC.

The aim of the assignment is for candidates to carry out a review of the arrangements for managing health and safety in a workplace and to produce justified, proportionate recommendations to improve health and safety performance.

As part of our in-house training service, we can offer useful support for Unit ID/DNI including group mentor sessions and even a one-to-one mentor option. These sessions provide: • Support with assignment presentation and how much detail is

required in each section. • Advice to make sure the candidate demonstrates the depth of

their knowledge gained from the qualification. • A chance for the candidate to discuss their ideas and any

problems. • A guide on how to reference and the layout of the

bibliography.

AssessmentThe assessment consists of three written examinations of three hours duration (one for each of the Units IA, IB and IC) and a work-based written assignment (Unit ID/DNI). All units must be completed within five years to achieve the full NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.

Students who are unsuccessful in any of the unit examinations may re-sit those units and students unsuccessful in the written assignment can re-submit it.

These study guides are worth £85.00 each or £250 per 3-part set and are provided free of charge to each delegate as well as a course booklet for NEBOSH information, additional notes, questions and directed study exercises.
