A GROUP of 24 seriously ill children and 12 adults enjoyed a fantastic trip

to Lapland, in a visit organised by Neston’s Northern Lights charity.The children had all sorts of experiences on the trip to the Arctic Circle,

including the chance to see reindeer and Arctic wolves as well as going on

snowmobiles and sledging at -30 degrees!

One of the organisers, Mandy Powell, said: “To see their faces – parents

and children, and to feel their warmth and

gratitude was quite an experience.

“It is the faces, the excitement, hopes and

wishes that will remain in our memories from

our trip.”

Northern Lights, formerly known as the

Christopher Johnson Fund, has over 25

years of experience in organising this type of

holiday where seriously ill children are given

the chance to experience the Christmas of a
