With Siemens structured wiring systemsyou can tailor a configuration thatmeets your needs today, and expandand enhance your system in the future.Structured wiring uses a "home run" or"star topology" configuration. Thismeans that each set of signal wires runs

to only one outlet. This isin contrast to "daisy chaining", which meansone line connects to manyrooms. Daisy chainingintroduces problems, asthe signal quality at theend of the line is muchlower than at the beginning of the line. Byrunning all of the signallines through the network

Structured wiringis very similar to ahome's electricalsystem, whichincludes a loadcenter connectedto an external service entrancewire. It has circuitbreakers attachedthat sendelectricity downsmaller electricallines, which runthrough the walls,ending at outletsthroughout the house.

The structured wiring networkcenter works the same as theload center in that it is connectedto external data lines (telephone,cable television, satellite andinternet). Inside the network center each incoming signal issplit and sent down wires to efficiently distribute a variety of data signals thoughout the house.

Unexpected voltage spikes, surges and other electrical disturbances can ruin or severely damage computers, VCR’s, televisions, fax machines, scanners and copiers, disrupt satellite signals, degrade the performance of audio/video components, and wreak havoc with telecommunications systems. Structured wiringis very similar to ahome's electricalsystem, whichincludes a loadcenter connectedto an external service entrancewire. It has circuitbreakers attachedthat sendelectricity downsmaller electricallines, which runthrough the walls,ending at outletsthroughout the house.

The structured wiring networkcenter works the same as theload center in that it is connectedto external data lines (telephone,cable television, satellite andinternet). Inside the network center each incoming signal issplit and sent down wires to efficiently distribute a variety of data signals thoughout the house.
