WHAT THEY’RE SAYING“We look at it from game to game. We’re in a position now in how MLS made the program of the competition, that we need to look at it game to game, because we never know how the next schedule is going to be. The Columbus game, it’s a big game. We played against them as you know as well in Orlan-do, we started well for half an hour and after that, we lost it a bit and they dominated the game. They’ve been doing very well, but after that game, we’ve picked things up and we’ve done very well as well. The thing that we know as well as a team and where we’re at, we’re still in the building progress – of the club, but also with the team. We need to look at making progress every game.”- FCC head coach Jaap Stam on upcoming match against Columbus Crew SC

“I’m still a professional athlete, I do have a platform to where I can vocalize what’s been going on. I can use my platform to mirror the voice of millions of people that feel that they don’t have voice, but at the same time, I still got to go out there and handle business as usual. That being said, though, I know what’s going on. I’m sure everybody is aware of what’s going on. Just because we do play this game, that doesn’t mean we’re sweeping anything under the rug. We’re still going to take the game seriously if it’s played, when it’s played. We’re still going to be out there competing, trying to win. This is still fresh in our head, fresh in my head, but when it’s time to get out on the field, I have to get the job done.”- FCC winger Joseph-Claude Gyau on preparing for Saturday’s match amid dificult circumstances
