New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE)

New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE) aims to create able engineers and business managers who are equipped with life skills, such as providing solutions to complex problems, re-engineering processes, and adding value to businesses. The required skills, beyond the academic curriculum, enhance the overall capability of each student. The department of Human Resource Development channelizes the individual talent of the student towards the acquisition of skills and abilities most relevant to the current needs of the industry. It is the pivotal center liaising between the students, the alumni, the faculty, and the recruiters.

The Department of HRD comprises three divisions viz., Corporate Relations, Learning & Development, and Placements. The collaborative efforts of these divisions ensure student readiness as per the industry standards. The diverse training programs along with a plethora of industry interactions and rigorous exposure to cutting edge technologies prepares the student for the corporate world. Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC)The purpose of Industry Institute Collaboration Cell (IIIC) is to ensure

a paradigm shift in the thought process of a New Horizon student

from J2C (Job to Career). This should lead a student towards the

identifi cation of a SMART CAREER GOAL. IIIC aims to work towards

making New Horizon College of Engineering, a respectable and most

sought after Engineering col lege which provides the best

amalgamation of Innovation, entrepreneurship development, skill

up-gradation, passion and aptitude along with sound theoretical

subject knowledge which in turn makes its students’ industry-

focused and innovators of tomorrow so that they can pursue their

passion and think beyond a job.

Center for Life Skills and Life-Long Learning (CLSLL)The Centre for Life Skills and Lifelong Learning through its courses instills among the students a passion for Lifelong Learning; in pursuit of knowledge to make them sustainable, competitive, and employable. It is committed to impart the necessary skills for students to help them succeed in college, work, and life. Integration of Life Skills in the curriculum serves the need to redefi ne and reshape the global landscape of learning.

PlacementsThe selection processes of various companies are constantly changing year after year. Considering the selection process of companies who have visited engineering/management campuses in Bangalore over the past fi ve years, the changes incorporated by them, and the process they fol low, the Placements division has designed a program that equips our students’ to face the selection process with confi dence.

Discussion / Interview Cabins:Air-conditioned discussion and interview cabins are equipped with the conference call and Internet facilities. Corporate conduct group discussions, face-to-face technical & HR interviews in these cabins.Executive Training Center can accommodate 65 students with cluster seating. The center is equipped with LCD, Plug-in internet connection, audio speakers, etc. Corporate Executives utilize this center to interact with students and conduct training sessions and webinars.

Campus Recruitment FacilitiesNew Horizon College of Engineering has state of the art infrastructure facilities to conduct training programs and campus recruitment events.

Seminar Halls / AuditoriumTwo spacious Seminar Halls each with a seating capacity of 200 are available for branch wise group activities. All Pre-placement presentations by the Corporate are conducted in the Auditorium which has a capacity of 700.

Japan Career CenterJapan Career Centre is established at NHCE to facilitate International Placements / Internships. The objective of the Indo-Japan career Center is to act as bridge between Japanese companies and fresh student talent in India. The center not only facilitates the recruitment of fresh talent in India, but also prepares the recruited talent for assimilation into the Japanese workplace.

New Horizon is a very prestigious institution and I am very glad to be a part of this temple of learning. There are many colleges offering Engineering courses but I chose NHCE because it has a very good cooperative management, excellent staff and friendly peers. Be it the academics, sports, cultural or any other activity NHCE stands above all. CSE dept is one of the best departments in NHCE and I am very thankful to all the teachers who taught me.
