“Sir Knights, again Good Morning. First of all I would like to say publically, because I understand
that our Grand Master has a conflict for this afternoon and will not be present for those sessions, but
Brother George it is remarkably important that the Grand Lodge be seen at York Rite events,
particularly by the visiting York Rite Masons and your effort to be here is very much appreciated.
The Knight Templar Eye Foundation, Sir Knight Karstens and I and others tried to change some of the
philanthropic activities across York Rite so we decided to share as is reflected in the raffle which is
going on outside the registration desk, we decided to share in some of the proceeds. But of note I did
receive a note from our Grand Recorder from Duane Vaught who is the Grand Master and also
President of the Eye Foundation, and this is a three month rollup of the activity of Templar
philanthropy in Vermont and last year we barely cracked $1,000., this year we are at $4,353, largely
through raffles and inspections and other activities where many of you have been very generous. In
addition four (4) Commanderies were singled out for a certificate of recognition. These
Commanderies have achieved a per capita of between five (5) and ten (10) dollars per member. And I
would ask the head representative from each Commandery to please stand and come forward to receive
your certificate of appreciation. The first Commandery is Burlington Commandery #2, second is
Killington #6, Malta #10. And Barre #11 (St. Aldemar Commandery). Congratulations. Sir Knights

have to recognize our Past Grand Department Commander Thomas Tsirimokos, thank you Tom for
coming (applause). And the Grand Encampment coordinator, Bruce Howard, Sir Knight Bruce.
I’ve already talked to your about the 200th celebration in New York. I failed to mention that there will
be Sax Fifth Avenue and Macy’s there for the ladies, if they get bored of us doing our Masonic work.
I was kind of careful not to say that if front of the girls in case they wanted to bring their cards. My
wife was there too so there was a second reason.
The other thing I bring up is the Northeast Conference is going to be September 9th
and 10th
and we
have the Chairman with us, Charles McCullum. Charles could you give us a thing on the Northeast
Conference.
Charles McCullum gave the following address from the floor
“The Northeast Conference will be held on September 9th
and 10th
at the Holiday Inn in Mansfield,
Massachusetts. The flyer, if you need it, is currently going to be located on the General Grand
Council’s website. You click on events and scroll down to September and the flyer is there and you
can download it, print it and send it off. Reservations have started to come in so it looks like we are
going to do quite well. Friday will be the General Grand Chapter and General Grand Council sessions.
And Saturday will be the Grand Encampment Session and the Emerging Leaders program. In the
General Grand Council session I will have flyers for the Emerging Leaders program. Any presiding
officer, presiding Grand Officer can recommend a member to go to there. There is a form you fill out
with the person’s name, address, e-mail and then the presiding grand officer signs as the recommender
and then you mail it off to John Palmer who is the coordinator of the program. And you will get your
emerging leaders set up for that. And unless there are any questions Right Eminent Sir that’s the
report of the committee.”
18
Sir Knight MacConnell continued “Any Questions? It is expected all Council Officers be present at
this and the Grand Master will be there to take attendance.
The other thing that is happening is there is a Tri-State Pilgrimage that is going to be happening, I
think July 30th
, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. For those of you that may want to wish to trek down to
Williamsport and see all the Orders put on by a Tri-State team. The other thing I want to bring up is
on the 200th
Celebration, I have the Malta Jewels, not for the candidates, but for the Sir Knights,
They’re $25.00 each. I see some of you already have them. If you need jewels, come and see me.
There is some pins, the Grand Master’s pins, but I don’t have any, but I can, I’ll get some more pins
and send them up to you if you would like, those are free to pass out. Especially if you bring in any
new Sir Knights we like to have them one of the new pins.
Grand Commander, if you would come up here a minute. On behalf of my Lady Martha and I we have
a little small gift to congratulate you on completing your term as Grand Commander and wish you all
the best in the future and good health. Also if you want church codes for these little cases you see us
having, we have them for sale and if you need a flyer for that and we are going to put them on the
internet and I have them right here. With that Eminent Commander I would like to thank you for all
the courtesies extended to me and my lady Math it’s been a joy and a pleasure and congratulations.
Thank you. One more thing, we did pass out three checks for sixty five thousand dollars ($65,000.00)
each. One for Children’s Hospital in Boston, one to Yale University and one for the University of
Pennsylvania”
GRAND ENCAMPMENT OF KNIGHTS TEMPLAR OF THE UNITED STATES OF
AMERICA
S.K. DAVID JOSEPH KUSSMAN, RIGHT EMINENT GRAND CAPTAIN GENERAL AND
PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE OF MOST EMINENT GRAND MASTER
DUANE LEE VAUGHT
Sir Knight Corliss introduced our Grand Encampment representative Sir Knight Davis Joseph
Kussman, R.E. Grand Captain General and personal representative of Sir Knight Duane Lee Vaught,
Most Eminent Grand Master of the Grand Encampment of Knights Templar of the United States of
America.
Sir Knight Kussman gave the following address:
“Good Morning Sir Knights. Most Worshipful Grand Master, always an honor to have a Grand Master
in our attendance and we are most appreciative as been expressed. I enjoy the attitude that I have seen
permeating in this room. The look at you not only as their Masonic leader in the State, but as a friend.
That’s not always the case in my visitations. But it is quite refreshing and I think, as I said this
morning on the K.Y.C.H. breakfast, if I could bottle what was going on in Vermont and sell it
throughout the other jurisdictions, I think we would see a marked improvement.
Well, I greet you in the name of our Grand Master, Most Eminent Duane Lee Vaught who again is got
a schedule you would not believe. I believe he is packing at home on his way to Austria which the
meeting is supposed to occur on June 18th
, and there is a saying in the Grand Encampment that the sun
never sets on the Grand Encampment it’s always alive and well somewhere. And I am starting to feel
that pain as I am starting out on my first year as your Captain General. And what a great year it has
19
been. First trip to Vermont and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. The hospitality that you have shown me
is very much appreciated and I have loved the visit so far and hate to go, but I will be back, I promise
you.
Couple things that I wanted to share with you. We have heard about the Bicentennial and again I
encourage you to support that. Realizing that they only come around every so often. I for one am not
making plans for the 300th
, cause I probably will not be in any shape to attend that one, so this is a once
in a lifetime opportunity for many of us. It will be memorialized and part of a history and legacy of
this great organization and I encourage you, if at all possible, to attend. Long trek for me from
California to New York, sometimes those plane flights get long, but I am truly looking forward to
meeting with the Sir Knights of this great country and this great Grand Encampment and celebrating
something we think is very worthwhile celebrating.
We have in our midst, somebody that I want to introduce and ask to join me up here, he has been
introduced Sir Knight Tom Tsiromokos. We are in the beginnings of this Triennial were are almost a
year into it, and so that means in two (2) years we are going to throw another celebration and this one
is going to be in Indianapolis Indiana. At that time you are going to have the privilege and
responsibility of electing my successor. We have three (3) very well qualified Sir Knights who have
announced their candidacy, and it has been a custom that at each and every Grand Conclave where one
has been in attendance, that we introduce them formally. I will tell you that the three (3) candidates
are Eugene Cappibianco from Massachusetts, our own Thomas Tsirimokos from New Hampshire and
Tom Newhall who was visiting with us at the Southeast Department conference just last weekend in
Jackson, Mississippi. At this time Tom would you like to approach the microphone and share anything
you would like to share with these blessed fraters.”
Sir Knight Tsirimokos addressed the assembled Sir Knights with these comments
“Sir Knights I would just thank you all for wonderful support and friendship that was extended
to me while I served you as a Department Commander. Ten years before that I was a visiting Red
Cord. The Grand Encampment means an awful lot to me. It is the only Masonic, legitimate Masonic
Templar Body in the United States, and I was engaged for many years in upholding that position and I
intend continue that and to continue the great philanthropic work we if I am elected to Grand Captain
General. I am a very proud Templar, and I am proud to say that I started my son on the road to
Knighthood, and I hope that he may be able to receive one of those candidate jewels this year. We’re
going to move him along. But I thank you Sir.”
Sir Knight Kussman continued:
“Thank you Tom. A bit of trivia. See how many of you guys study history. What does Vermont and
California have in common? Republics, very good. Four (4) states have entered the Union under a
treaty as sovereign states that came into their own right. Vermont, California, Hawaii and Texas.
Something to be very proud of in your history here. Thought I share that with you because it means a
lot to us in California. Since they keep trying to put us under a different flag from those guests who
live below the border. English is becoming the secondary language where I live in Southern California
very quickly. And that’s as it should be I guess with the popularity of Southern California. But you
know, there’s a lot more to his world than just sand, sea and sunshine. There is the grassroots that is
exhibited here in this jurisdiction. We’ve reports that are alarming to some of us when you hear that
20
you only have 360 active York Rite Masons in this jurisdiction, it almost sounds alarming, and it can
be. But I will share something with you. Your average age is 71.7 for all your active members. 71.7
Sounds like a bunch of retirees that are just barely keeping us hanging on. But I will share something
with you that I find extremely interesting. Two years ago as part of the continuing education process
in my ministry we go to a recertification course and you get to pick your electives. And I sat in on a
course on seniors. The records are showing now that our active seniors are the most influential and
growing force in America today. Our churches are seeing that more and more. Men and women don’t
want to sit on the sidelines, they’re more active, they’re healthier, and they’re bored beyond words for
not doing anything. This what we call Templar Masonry is one of those avenues. So those of us who
are getting up and age and stuff, I salute you for being active. Now what we have to do is sell that.
Those that have seen any of my presentations know that I talk about Templar Masonry as being a
product, and it’s our job to sell that product wherever and whenever. I talk about elevator speeches.
Whenever I get into an elevator and I’m wearing my blues and greys with just a pocket patch people
say what is that? I’ve got about 30 to 45 seconds to make a sale pitch for what we are. I encourage
you to look to that. These numbers although alarming should not be disheartening. Go back to your
study of your Bible and we go into the books of Samuel and we see David was a small man who had a
large mission that was given to him by God. He faced it without fear. He was saved from the lion and
saved from the bear. He thought what does this Philistine have to fear out of me? God is on our side
Sir Knights, and he will not let this great jurisdiction fold. Keep up your faith. Keep working toward
gaining in membership. Keep recognizing your leaders. I applaud your action this morning about
putting in the hundred dollars ($100.00) I too agree with if we are going to recognize somebody, why
make him pay for it. But it’s the way of the world and it is an expensive thing. California we
changed a couple of years ago. We started having a breakfast, we charge twenty (20) bucks for it,
which is a lot for scrambled eggs and sausage and etc. But ten of it goes to pay for the expense of
breakfast and ten of it goes into a kitty to help offset the price of the Knight Commandery of the
Temple and the Companion of the Temple for our non -Templar members. And on that I’ll speak to
you a little bit. Look within your community. Think outside the borders of the asylum. Community
outreach in a lot of parts of this world, I suspect that Vermont is not unlike that also, so recognize
those people in your community and build that bridge, not walls, but bridges with the outside world.
Again, I thank you for your hospitality and your graciousness this weekend. It has been my sincere
pleasure. Grand Master my congratulations on a well-organized and run event. I hope you many
more years of active participation with these guys. You’re almost old enough to join some of these
guys now as a sideliner. Very Eminent Deputy Grand Commander, I will pledge you my support and
my promise Sir Knights that every day while I am in this office, I will be praying for the Grand
Commandery of Vermont. God Bless you all.”
GRAND LODGE OF VERMONT REPRESENTATIVE
BROTHER AND SIR KNIGHT GEORGE DEBLON
RIGHT WORSHIPFUL GRAND MASTER
Sir Knight Corliss introduced Brother and Sir Knight George Deblon, the Right Worshipful Grand
Master and Representative of the Grand Lodge of Vermont who gave the following remarks to the
assembled Sir Knights.
“Thank you. Please be seated. Right Eminent Grand Master, Grand East; I know I’m not going to get
all the titles right, and Sir Knights Good Morning! It’s really a pleasure to be here, and Sir Knight
21
David, thank you for those kind remarks. To hear you say the Sir Knights think of me not just as their
Grand Master buts a friend, then I feel I’m doing a good job, because that’s been my goal. Let me
present you my Grand Master’s pin, it’s a simple message, we all meet on the level. It doesn’t matter
what our title is, how big our house is, what we drive for cars, we’re all Brothers and we all meet on
the level.
I also have to recognize Sir Knight Paul Leary. Brother Paul is also as many of you may know is the
Most Worshipful Past Grand Master of New Hampshire and I had the great privilege of getting to
know Paul over the past eight (8) years and it’s such a pleasure to see you here Sir Knight Paul.
Well June as you all know is a very busy month for Vermont Freemasonry and the concordant bodies.
A couple of weeks ago the Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star had their annual meeting
just up the road, and of course the York Rite Bodies are having their annual meeting today and
tomorrow the Scottish Rite is holding their Council of Deliberation, and we’re also setting up for the
222nd
Annual Communication for the Grand Lodge of Vermont. Which I still have some stuff to do,
but it will all come together. As I look around I see the same faces at all these annual communications.
As I look even today, we have two or three sitting district deputy grand Masters, and we may have one
coming in. (laughter) I haven’t made up my mind about this one yet. And of course we have several
Brothers here on several committees. And we have Brother Bill Morse who is our finance Committee
Chair, a very important position and we thank you Bill for all your contributions to Freemasonry.
I greatly appreciate everyone putting their efforts and time to keep Freemasonry alive and well in
Vermont. And I hope we can continue to work together for the benefit of this great fraternity. That
S what it is about, working together, after all we are all Brothers working together the mutual
dependence and support.
Brother Bruce, I congratulate you on the very prestigious award you received last night. As I
mentioned last night, Sir Knight Bruce travelled some together the wealth of knowledge of and
information he has is impressive and I wondered how he retained all that, you still have to work on
those jokes.
It certainly is a pleasure to be here today. I congratulate Sir Knight Eugene on a successful year, and
Sir Knight Jonathan I look forward to a very successful year.
I thank you all for the courtesies and hospitality extended to me and I look forward to seeing you
again, and as always, we meet on the level. Thank you so much.”
Brother George asked to be excused to preside over a Masonic Funeral this afternoon for a Brother
from Black River Lodge at the Veterans Cemetery in Randolph Center, Vermont.

NEW COMMANDERS ADDRESS
Our new Eminent Grand Commander gave the following remarks to the assembled Sir Knights:
23
“First of all I thank the installation team. As I mentioned those three (3) guys have been tremendously
important to me throughout my York Rite career and they were appropriate choices. Actually my
Masonic family is largely in this room right now, so I appreciate you all sticking through even those
who didn’t get installed in office today for those of you visiting. I have a couple of quick comments
about our outgoing Grand Commander Gene Corliss. Many of you are familiar with the challenges
posed at the New England York rite assembly, where the role is called and the lines are not entirely
present. Sometimes that can be embarrassing. So I attended the Chapter and Council Session this past
year at the assembly and was doing a nose count and noticed that the Grand Commander was not
present at that time, but the next morning when I walked into the Assembly Hall there was the back of
Eugene Corliss’s head, what a lovely sight that was for me.
I asked him, because I knew at the time that Gene had some challenges in travelling, but they have
already been emolliated by Bill Morse who has conveyed him back and forth. But Gene actually drove
down to, God, forever, that included some night travel, and I said Gene how did you do that? And he
said well it’s my job so one of the words I like best about Masonry because it is in almost every
obligation is the word steadfast. It’s something that you don’t say every day, but it’s something you
know when you see it. And Gene you’ve been steadfast throughout your fits and starts in York Rite
and now you’ve done it buddy, so congratulations to you and we all appreciate it.
The, in the upcoming year I have some activities planned. First as far as inspections go, and I
recognize the autonomy of the Grand Inspector, who is the Grand Senior Warden, to conduct the
inspections however he wishes, however I have a couple of suggestions. First of all we are required by
statute to do inspections as part of The Order of the Temple. More on that in a minute. Secondly it’s
my requirement this year, and I’ll let the inspection team determine what the penalty is, but I want to
see no reading of anything in any inspection. If you need verbal prompts, there are thirty (3) people in
the room who can give you the verbal prompt needed, whether you want it or not. But no reading, no
cards no nothing. My advice to the incoming inspection team is to deduct a fair amount of points for
any principal parts that are being read. I know a Past Grand Master who took a stronger stance in
reading in lodge than that, but I think it’s worth doing. That’s not to scare people off because there are
two types of inspections to my mind in my experience, one is done by teams who have done it 30 times
before, and they are going to be very good, and reading is not an issue. And second is by
Commanderies who are trying to have a progression through the chairs, and that is laudable. And I
want to encourage that, I don’t want to discourage that. In fact I come from a Commandery where
we’ve had the Commander do the East each time a new Commander came in every two (2) years and
everybody’s moved up a chair every year, that’s how you learn. So I like them both, I love seeing the
work done perfectly and I love seeing new people try it. One of the things about Masonry is you’ve
got to get out of your comfort zone. And if you think I could never do that part, you never know
unless you try. As was mentioned by Grand Encampment, the Bicentennial of Grand Encampment is
happening this year. I will be attending in New York. It’s my intention. And I welcome any other Sir
Knights who wish to go down, to go down with me, but I think it’s important to show the Vermont flag
at the Bicentennial. You are also aware that the Bicentennial has different jewels, and particularly for
those Secretaries of Commanderies who may be in the audience, anyone receiving the Order of Malta
this year is entitled to get one of these really neat Malta jewels. Much neater than what we got when
we were kids. So, I think that’s done, is that done by the Secretary contacting Grand Encampment
(YRIS input will create the order of the jewel for the constituent jewel). So we are going to be in New
York July 22nd
thorough the 24th,
24
The York Rite Assembly, the New England York Rite Assembly as mentioned before is going to be
just outside of Foxboro, and the dates for that are September 9th
and 10th
. And it is the expectation, the
requirement of your Grand Commander that the elected officers of Commandery be present that that
line be present. If you personally are not able to be present, and there are good reasons not to be,
weddings, prepaid trips, things of that sort. It’s up to each individual Knight to get an excuse from the
Grand Master that they will not be able to be there.
One thing I would like do in the next year, and I’ll talk a little bit more about this in Chapter, but one
of the greatest risks I think to York Rite to Masonry in our State is not the retention and the recruitment
of members but it is the shrinking, shallowing of the talent pool for degree work. There are some roles
in Vermont where there is only one Mason who does them historically. We’ve got to change that.
And we’ve got to change that by encouraging folks to, again, get out of their comfort zone and do it.
Owning a role, particularly a significant role in Freemasonry, owning that part and knowing it and
being able to pull it off with minimal preparation is one of the finest things we can do. It enriches my
life as a Mason and I think enriches those who receive the degrees. But along these lines of a
dwindling talent pool, I mentioned before that by statute the inspections will be the Order of the
Temple. I would like to see reinstituted in the State the Order of Malta. I’m willing to step up to the
plate on that one and recruit past grand’s to help with the cast. I don’t know the last time Jim; you
have more history on this than I do, the last time Malta was done, and actually, Mr. Ebbighausen,
what’s the history of Malta in Vermont”
Sir Knight Daniel Ebbighausen, PGC gave a short informational update on the Connecticut Valley
Malta Team
“Thank you Dan. So the paraphernalia still exists, it’s just the ritualists don’t. There are useful
training video tapes for Malta, at least one that I know of that I’ve seen. So I’m proposing that I select
a cast and bounce it off the past grand’s as to who would want what role and we actually pull this thing
off in the coming year. It’s too much to ask a Commandery in addition to preparation for the order of
the Temple at inspection to do Malta. So the Grand Line and the Past Grand’s will do this and we
should do this.
There is a serious paucity of Commanders, Past Commanders or Commanders in this state because, in
going back to something I spoke about before, in large part we’re recycling a lot of the east, and
therefore there aren’t any new faces coming in the east and therefore there are no new faces or very
few new faces available to the Grand Line because the Statutes of Grand Encampment and our own
Vermont statutes require for all but two or three appointed positions, require experience as a past
commander. So in large part, the expectations of the Grand Lines, Sir Knight Sandy and I will be
talking about that at the York Rite Planning Session tomorrow, which I encourage everyone who is
able to attend, to please attend.
Something else that we have to think about as Past Grand’s is going forward after this afternoon there
will be me in charge of Commandery, there will be Sandy in charge of both Chapter and Council so
that’s stretching it a little thin. And Sandy understandably is sensitive to the fact that he can’t be in
two places at once. So if I would encourage any past grand who is going to be attending a session
outside the jurisdiction to notify Sandy so that he can chalk that one off as being covered, cause he
simply can’t be in two places at one time for many of these things.
25
Thank you again for the confidence shown in me. Thank to those of you for staying who were not
being installed. Thank you to those who were installed and will be serving me in the coming year.
And thank you to Gene for an outstanding year and congratulations on completing the trifecta. Thank
you Sir Knights.”
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the 174th
Annual Conclave, RE Grand Commander
Park declared the 174th
Annual Conclave of the Grand Commandery of Vermont closed after the E.
Grand Prelate Murray led the Sir Knights in their devotions.

performed at our four inspections. The cooperation shown among the Commanderies and the
enthusiasm of the Sir Knights who stepped forward to help out is heartening. It was noteworthy

Attached you will find a grid of membership gains and losses for the 2015-2016

NECROLOGY REPORT
To the Grand Commandery of Vermont now in session:
This Chivalric year twenty one (21) of our fellow fraters have passed beyond our ranks
and now at perfect peace in realms of light and life eternal. We thank God for the
associations we have enjoyed with our departed fraters, and for all the good works we
have performed alongside of them. We have shared each other’s perplexities, joys and
strivings. God gave us valiant hearts and courage to walk the shadowed and darkened
road, unafraid, with heads uplifted and singing hearts. From God we came, and to God
we return. In the clear vision of faith, when the mists of mortality are swept aside, we
shall see the eternal light.
And now to those who shared with our Sir Knights the intimate ties of family and
friendship, we tender our affectionate sympathy and affirm our faith that he who
tempers the wind to the shorn lamb now looks down with infinite compassion upon the
widow and fatherless in their hours of desolation, and that the same benevolent Savior
who wept tears of sympathy over the grave at Bethany, will support and comfort all
those who put their trust and faith in Him.
Goodnight
Goodnight; ensured release,
Imperishable peace,
Have these for yours,
While sea abides, and land,
And earth's foundations stand,
and heaven endures.
When earth's foundations flee,
nor sky nor land nor sea
At all is found
Content you, let them burn:
It is not your concern; Sleep on, sleep sound.

K.T. Educational Report for Year 2016
Our 2015 earnings were $1,432.95 and our net worth is now $64,695.05. Our
Education Foundation Committee met and reviewed applications and awarded
$1,000.00 in scholarships to an extremely qualified and deserving applicant which will
be disbursed before the start of the fall semester. Again this year the committee found
all applicants were evenly disbursed though out our state which suggests the Vermont
Student Assistance Corporation listing is providing this foundation with great exposure
to our Vermont scholars.

Report for the Committee on the Holy Land Pilgrimage
June 13, 2016
To the Grand Commandery of Vermont now in session:
Your Committee on the Holy Land Pilgrimage recommended to the Finance Committee
that due to the decreasing membership and increasing cost to send a minister to the Holy
Land, this program should be considered on a biennial basis. It was accepted by the
Finance Committee and reported to the Sir Knights of this Grand Commandery at the
2011 Annual Conclave.
Since moving to a biennial award the Grand Commandery of Vermont has only
sponsored one (1) qualified minister. We are exceedingly pleased to reporting to the
assembled Sir Knights that a qualified candidate has been found, approved and
scheduled to attend the next scheduled Holy Land Pilgrimage in February 2017. Fr.
Liam Muller, Jr., Rector at Trinity Episcopal Church in Rutland is the Vermont
Representative. It is interesting to note that he first heard of this pilgrimage from the
Bishop of South Dakota, who suggested he search out a Knight Templar and determine
if Vermont participated in this program! He is excited to attend and has already make
plans to use this experience in his future sermons.
It is rewarding to see the positive impact this worthwhile program has upon all selected
candidates spiritual lives and we look forward to sending many more representatives
from the State of Vermont in the future.

REPORT OF THE MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
To: The Grand Chapter, Grand Council, and Grand Commandery of Vermont now in session.
From: Membership Committee
Charge: Active recruitment, candidate mentoring, development of membership material.
Goals: To provide the tools and the assistance to improve membership in each subordinate body and to
help maintain vibrant Chapters, Councils and Commanderies.
40
Although we haven’t had any specific requests, the Membership Committee stands ready to provide
assistance in matters of membership. In particular, we would like to remind our members that we have
material available to use in promoting York Rite, including several presentation “plays” that can be
used in Blue Lodge. On this note, we vigorously encourage more Blue Lodge talks & presentations to
inform Master Masons about York Rite as they are our future members. In fact, we happily point out
that the “Fervency & Zeal” presentation was done for the educational portion of one of the Grand
Lodge District meetings this past year. The Committee is also pleased to have seen several progressive
line Grand Lodge officers complete their York Rite journey this year. We feel this is an important step
in bringing Masonry in Vermont together. We also have proficiency booklets for the Chapter degrees
that can be used as part of your mentoring. In addition, we can provide a set of prologues to be
presented at the beginning of each of the Chapter degrees. These are available directly from us, but
were obtained from the New York Grand Chapter website which has a host of other educational
material that we highly recommend.
