WINTER CONCERT
THE BIG RED BAND WINTER CONCERT IS SET FOR:
THURSDAY NIGHT
DECEMBER 2ND
7:00PM
AT PUEBLO AUDITORIUM IN THE RISD ADMINISTRATION BUILDING.
THE CONCERT IS FREE AND EVERYONE IS INVITED TO ATTEND. COME OUT AND ENJOY SOME GOOD MUSIC OF THE HOLIDAY SEASON.
BOOSTER CLUB DECEMBER MEETING WE WILL HAVE OUR REGULAR MEETING ON
THURSDAY DECEMBER 9TH 6:PM IN THE BAND ROOM.
ALL PARENTS OF BAND MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO BE THERE IF YOU WANT THE BOOSTER CLUB TO HELP PAY FOR SOME OF YOUR CHILDS BAND FEES!

IT IS EASY TO JOIN THE BOOSTER CLUB AND GET IN ON ALL THE FUN. JUST COME TO THE THURSDAY DECEMBER 9TH MEETING IN THE BAND ROOM. YOU CAN ALSO SEND AN EMAIL TO [email protected]. YOU WILL BE PUT ON THE MAILING LIST AND WE WILL NOTIFY YOU ABOUT THE MEETINGS AND EVENTS.

NEW FUND-RAISING GUIDELINES
THE RHS BAND BOOSTER CLUB, AT IT’S NOVEMBER MEETING APPROVED NEW GUIDELINES FOR THE DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS RAISED DURING ALL FUND RAISING EVENTS. ALL BAND MEMBERS WILL BE FACING SOME VERY LARGE FEES NEXT YEAR AND THIS IS OUR WAY OF HELPING THE MEMBERS FAMILIES WHO WORK THE FUND RAISING EVENTS GET CREDIT FOR IT. WE ENCOURAGE ALL MEMBERS FAMILIES TO BE ACTIVE IN ALL EVENTS SO WE CAN HELP EACH OTHER KEEP THE COSTS DOWN FOR ALL OF US!
FOR ALL FUNDS RAISED DURING OUR FUND RAISING EVENTS FROM THIS DAY FORWARD WE WILL DISTRIBUTE AS FOLLOWS.
1. 60% OF FUNDS RAISED WILL BE DEPOSITED IN THE GENERAL FUND TO BE USED FOR THE NORMAL EXPENSES APPROVED BY THE BOARD.
2. 40% OF THE FUNDS WILL BE PLACED IN A SPECIAL ACCOUNT TO BE USED BY THE BAND MEMBERS WHO’S FAMILY MEMBERS WORKED THE EVENT. THE FUNDS CAN ONLY BE USED FOR BAND ASSOCIATED FEES AND CAN NOT BE TAKEN OUT AS CASH! ANY FUNDS NOT USED FOR BAND ASSOCIATED FEES BY THE BAND MEMBER WILL BE RETURNED TO THE GENERAL FUND ONCE THE BAND MEMBER LEAVES THE BAND.
3. THE FORMULA FOR DIVIDING THE BAND MEMBERS SHARE IS AS FOLLOWS:
40% TOTAL FUNDS RAISED DIVIDED BY TOTAL HOURS WORKED = PER HOUR AMOUNT
EACH MEMBER SHALL BE CREDITED THE PER HOUR AMOUNT TIMES THE TOTAL HOURS WORKED BY THEIR FAMILY MEMBER.
EXAMPLE: IF WE RAISED $500 ON DONUT SALES. 40% OR $200 GOES TO THE MEMBER SHARE. IF 20 TOTAL HOURS WERE WORKED BY ALL VOLUNTEERS THEN THE PER HOUR MOUNT WOULD BE $10. EACH MEMBER WHO WORKED OR HAD FAMILY WORK THE EVENT WILL BE CREDITED $10 FOR EVERY HOUR THEY WORKED.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! WE WILL BE SELLING HOT COCO DURING THE ELECTRIC LIGHT PARADE ON DECEMBER 11TH. OUR TABLE WILL BE SET UP IN THE PARKING LOT OF THE OVERMIER FIRESTONE STORE AT 125 S MAIN. IF YOU WANT TO VOLUNTEER PLEASE CALL DON DETERMAN AT 637-8709.
ADVERTIZERS WELCOME
WE THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE A GOOD FUND RAISER FOR MEMBERS TO SELL ADS IN THE NEWS LETTER. WE ARE OFFFERING A TWO INCH BY TWO INCH AD FOR $10 PER MONTH, QUARTER PAGE AD FOR $20 PER MONTH OR HALF PAGE AD FOR $40 PER MONTH. IF ANYONE KNOWS OF A BUSINESS THAT MIGHT LIKE TO ADVERTIZE HERE, PLEASE TALK TO THEM. WE CAN DO THE COPY OR USE THIERS. FOR INFORMATION CALL DON DETERMAN 637-8709.
AWARDS BANQUET THE BIG RED BAND WILL HOST AN AWARDS BANQUET ON DECEMBER 14TH 6PM AT THE ROSWELL HIGH SCHOOL COMMONS AREA. FAMILIES SHOULD BRING A POT LUCK DISH FOR 5 PEOPLE BY GRADES AS OUTLINED BELOW. LET’S ALL HAVE A GREAT TIME!
