Construction Skill Development Council of India organized a daylong discussion to promote Construction industry engagement in skill development ecosystem. The event was attended by Premier Industry Leaders at Aero city, New Delhi on 21 Feb 2018. Mr. Rajesh Agrawal, Joint Secretary, MSDE graced the event as the Chief Guest.
The finalist and the winner of WorldSkills Competition in Abu Dhabi, 2017 for construction related skills, were honoured by CSDCI.
Senior officials from premier Construction industries like Larsen & Toubro, Shapoorji Pallonji, GMR group, Tata Housing, Ashoka Buildcon, NBCC, Saint Gobain, Ashiana Housing, NHBF, Kamdhenu Paints, Somany Ceramics, Stellar Group, NAREDCO, Ambuja Cement, Simplex Infrastructures, CREDAI participated in the discussions and shared their viewpoints related to Skill Development Challenges in Construction sector.
Beta version of Labour Management Information System (LMIS) for the Construction sector named as “Construction Skilled Worker Management Information System (CSWMIS)” was launched.It is an effort to bridge the existing gap in demand and supply of Skilled workforce in the Construction sector.
