A Little About MeI am a Certified Public Accountant and experienced leader in the accounting industry. With over 27 years as an accounting professional in a variety of industries, I am currently employed as the Controller for Congregation Beth Yeshurun, the largest Conservative Jewish synagogue in the United States. I am a member of several professional organizations such as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Texas Society of CPAs, Houston, TX Society of CPAs, and the National Society of Black CPAs.

A native of Laurel, MS, I currently reside in Houston, TX where I am an active member of the community. I have served on the Ensemble Theatre Guild, the oldest African America Theatre in the Southwest. I am a volunteer with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Houston. I am a Founding Board Member of Run Sister Run Political Action Committee which supports women running for political office. I also serve on the Millsaps College Alumni Association Board. A Diamond Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., I have served in a variety of leadership positions, most recently as Treasurer and a past Financial Secretary of Houston Alumnae Chapter. I am a member of The Church Without Walls, Houston, TX.

I am a graduate of Millsaps College, Jackson MS with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in French.
