Then consider applying for the Fulbright US Student Program. Fulbright Awards provide funding for an academic year of research or English language teaching. They give you an opportunity to explore a new culture, expand your personal and professional networks, and build bridges be- tween the United States and over 150 participating countries. Over the past few years, Clemson students and alumni have won Fulbright Awards to Ecuador, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Japan, Taiwan, and many other countries. All of these students have found their Fulbright experiences to be exciting, engag- ing, and life-changing. If you're interested in spending a year abroad after graduation, I encourage you to attend one of the Fulbright information sessions presented by Dr. Steve Wainscott, Clemson's Fulbright representa- tive! Dr. Lasser the Fulbright Grant Interest Meetings The Fulbright US Student Program is the US Gov- ernment’s premier program of international edu- cational exchange, providing support for students to conduct independent study, research or Eng- lish language teaching in more than 150 coun- tries. Most grants are for a full academic year (9- 10 months). To be eligible, applicants must be US citizens and possess at least a baccalaureate degree by the start date of the grant. Enrolled undergraduates apply in the fall of their senior year. Graduate students are also eligible, provid- ed that they do not have a doctoral degree in hand at the time of application. To learn more about the Fulbright US Student Program, please plan to attend one of the following sessions: Tuesday March 24 Monday March 30 Tuesday March 31 All meetings are at 7:00PM in 108 Till- man. Fundraising Positions for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN We're looking for some creative, energetic, and self-motivated students that can help promote and motivate other students on campus to fund- raise and join the fight against childhood cancer. Regardless of the position, each of them have a time commitment ranging from 1-3 hours a week. (1) Attending weekly meetings and (2) completing weekly tasks assigned at these meet- ings. Lastly each board member is responsible for contributing to the implementation of the finale event usually held in the Spring.
