STUDENTS VISIT DOLPHINS TRAINING FACILITY
On March 24, 2016 students in Event and Facility Management en-
joyed touring behind the scenes at the Miami Dolphins Training Fa-
cility. They saw memorabilia for the history of the team as they en-
tered the lobby, sat in the auditorium, checked out meeting rooms,
were treated to soft drinks in the dining room, were in awe of the
team locker room and posed for the picture above in the “bubble.”
We want to thank Bill Galante, John Wiedmeier and John Nessl for
giving us the tour! Check out page 2 for more pictures of the tour.

SITE VISITS Pictured to the left are Michael Calla-
han, Athletic Digital Media and Graphic
Design Coordinator, and Albert
Panariello, who has been doing a practi-
cum under Michael’s supervision this
semester. Albert has worked primarily
with baseball but has helped with other
sports as well. He has created graphics
for the tricaster which creates and pub-
lishes video content that is used for live
streaming on the NSU Athletics web-
site. He even broadcast a double header
with St. Leo. In the office he helps by
making sure players’ walk-up songs are
approved by the NCAA. He has also
designed graphics for Twitter. Albert is
a senior and has a promising future
thanks to the experience he has gained
at NSU.
Pictured to the right are Roberto Baroniel,
Athletic Equipment Assistant for University
School, and Samantha Rommel who is also
doing a practicum this semester. Samantha
has helped Roberto with the distribution of
and collection of team uniforms. She has sold
food and drinks at the Sun Sport during
games, cleaned storage areas, rearranged the
trophy case, printed athletic awards, updated
monthly calendars, helped set up games and
updated game results online. Samantha
played soccer for the NSU Sharks. At Uni-
versity School she is learning more about oth-
er teams and all the things that must done
through operations to keep the athletic pro-
gram functioning. We want to also congratu-
late Roberto who recently accepted a graduate
assistantship at the University of Missouri.

VOLUNTEER The Jarvis Landry Football ProCamp is scheduled for Friday-Saturday June 17th-18th and we are looking for interested students to volunteer at our event. Providing local students with an opportunity to work at our camps is something that we at ProCamps value. When the students volunteer with us they are given the chance to receive real world experience in the sports industry. We utilize these student volunteers to produce successful camps throughout the country. A ProCamps volunteer opportunity gives the stu-dents a chance to experience a part of the sports world that is not often spoken about. To give you an idea of what our camps entail I’ve included this video: https://vimeo.com/84189795 password: procamps If you have any students that are interested in this opportunity please have them email their resume to [email protected]. Thank you again for any assistance that you can provide in helping us to find volunteers.
