Old World “Traditional” Mortise & Tenon Joinery Notes1) Pricing Please see Section E.3 of the Wholesale Pricing Catalog.2) Profile Drawings All Stile & Rail and Mullion Stock drawings are to scale.3) Thickness Old World Stile & Rail Profiles are available in 1", 1⅛" and 1¼ thicknesses.

4) Materials Old World doors and drawer fronts are only available in solid wood or hybrid material. Not avail-able as a 5-piece MDF door or drawer front.

5) Standard and Non-Standard Parts

Old World stile and rail dimensions are 3" wide. Stiles or rails that are greater or less than 3" may be subject to Non-Standard Part Size charges. Please see Section A.5 for more information on Non-Standard Part Sizes.The minimum width for an outside stile or rail dimension is 1¼". A 1¾" minimum is required for hinge boring (Section F.1) and for a center rail or center stile.The minimum distance for the flat surface between the stile and rail profile and the outside edge profile is 3/16", this factor may also affect the minimum size required for hinge boring. Please refer to our Web Site to reference the Stile & Rail Dimension and Outside Edge Profile charts to deter-mine the minimum stile and rail size using this formula: Stile/Rail Profile Width + 3/16" Flat Surface + Outside Edge Profile Width = Minimum Stile/Rail Width

6) Minimum Length The minimum visual length for a top or bottom rail and a center stile or rail is 2⅛".

7) Mitered Stile & Rail Profiles See Section E.11 for Old World Mitered Stile and Rail Profiles.

8) Curved Products The indicates profiles that are available for Curved Products. For additional ordering guidelines, see Chapter D.

9) Applied Molding Shelf This symbol indicates that an applied molding can be used.

10) Frame “GRF” Profiles

Frame GRF profiles will accept ⅛" glass if using rubber retainer.To order, mark the box (X) for Frame Only or indicate the Mullion Lite Pattern (ie: 2 x 3) or LP Option (ie: LP105) in the box provided on your Order Form.For mullions, denote the # of Lites and whether they are Standard (S) or True Lite (TL). • True Lites are 2-piece construction.

11) SR197 - Complex Lite Patterns The SR197 uses mullion stock molding #2387 in complex lite patterns.

12) Center Panel Profile Options

“Old World” Center Panels grow to the face and some profiles do not look as good as others with this type of construction. The ‟Old World” Center Panel profiles found in Section E.14 are for use when ordering ‟Old World” style doors and drawer fronts. See page A.4.4 for typical construction of a 1" thick ‟Old World” door.

13)¾" Thick Center Panel Profile Options

Center panel reveals may change when ordering a ¾" thickness, which could affect minimum size requirements. See the chart referencing Center Panel Reveals on our Web Site under Technical Information.

14)Gothic Door Styles 4100, 4200, 9100 and 9200
