RonLeone’s Henkel was an interesting addition to the cars displayed.
Bill and Dee Soman with grandson, Luke, enjoyed the event.
Is it really possible that Luke is old enough to drive his granddaddy’s Corvette? Cool Hand Luke!
This is an improvement on “Porch Sitting” where years ago you could sit on your porch (not in your Porsche) and catch neighbors as they strolled along your street in the evening. Here Dewey Porter chats with Cam Baker.
Good to see this beautiful ’57 Chevy back on the road with Max and Jan Miller.

A Peek at the Encinitas, California Classic Car Night By Jennifer Steinberger
Encinitas, in the coastal North County San Diego region, is still considered by many to be an “unspoiled and unchanged reminder of the era of Hwy 101.” The downtown area is reminiscent of the quiet, natural beach towns that existed prior to World War II and has the feel of earlier times, retaining its beach, artsy, Hwy 101
culture. Every third Thursday, May through September hundreds of hot rods, Woodies and other classic and vintage vehicles park along S. Coast Hwy 101. This past July I happened to stumble onto this event while visiting with my son and his family…lucky me! I hope you enjoy some of the classic cars I was able to view during my trip there.

Eating Out at Back Forty Joe and Ann Greeves were among the happy people gathered at the Back Forty Restaurant August 27. Ron Leone chose a good one again. Most of us followed Ron’s lead and ordered something called a Wet Burrito. It filled the plate and the stomach not only for dinner but for lunch the next day and was delicious. On hand were the Arpaias, the Quackenbushes, the Somans, Ron and Doug Nietzel. We had a thouroughly delightful time.
