When I come to the end of

the road and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a

gloom-filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a lit-

tle, but not too long and not with your heads bowed low. Remember the love that we

once shared. Miss me, but let me go. For this journey that

we all must take and each must go alone. It’s all a part of

the Master’s plan, a step on the road to home. When you

are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we

know, and bury your sorrow in doing good deeds.

Miss me, but let me go.

Sylvia Farrior-Edwards was born March 31, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois to Kenneth E. and Shirley L. Farrior. As a teenager she moved with her sis-ters from Chicago, Illinois to Los Angeles, California in 1978. She is a gradu-ate of Lynwood Adventist Academy (1983), attended El Camino Community College and Oakwood College.

Sylvia worked for the City of Inglewood for twelve years where she started as a secretary in the mayor's office and was promoted to supervisor in the Code and Enforcement Department. She left the City of Inglewood to move to Moreno Valley, CA, to become a stay-at-home mother. This was her greatest joy, being able to stay at home to nurture the two loves of her life.

Sylvia was a hardworking dedicated member of Mt. Rubidoux SDA

Church. She was the Women’s Ministry leader for seven years where she planned many programs to assist in bringing women closer to God and one another. She was also the Choir Director for three years. Sylvia was the Fam-ily Life Ministry Director at the time of her sickness. This position was so perfect for Sylvia because with God being her first love, her family was next. She was a devoted mother and the love for her children, husband, and family exemplifies the love that Jesus has for us.

Sylvia leaves to mourn her loving husband of twenty—one years,

David. A daughter, Brittany, son David Jr., her mother Shirley Farrior, fa-ther Kenneth E. Farrior, her step-mother, Cecille Martin-Farrior:, mother-in-law, Genevieve Edwards, five sisters and their spouses: Sherry McCowan (Terry), Sharmayne Farrior, Shelly Jackson (Gerald), Synthia Webster (Tony), Shirley Farrior, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, family and friends.

The Battle is Over, we can shout now. No more sickness or pain, only salvation can we gain.

Baby I love you so very much, I miss your caring, loving gentle touch.

My heart is heavy and sometimes I don’t know what to do, then I dig down deep and get my strength from you.

Your perseverance through this trial I will never forget,

My heart will always be in your debt. So sleep, sleep my love and get your rest, for we both

know that God knows what is best. The Battle is Over and the War is Won, Now we have to wait for our Lord and Savior to come.

David J Edwards Sr. November 14, 2006
