Exporting Data

• In addition to viewing reports in your Web browser, you can view and export reports in PDF and Excel (2007, 2002 and 2000) formats.

Best Practice: Customization and filtering options are available through the website, but exporting data gives you the freedom to customize and filter data in additional ways.

Quick Tips: Exporting DataTo export or print: Click the icon above “Print/Download Options” at the top right of the report, and then select the format:

PDF is the format to select in order to print. Export the report as a PDF, and then print the PDF. (Avoid using your browser’s Print function to print the HTML reports.)

Internet Explorer Users: When selecting to view reports in PDF or Excel format, you may need to press the Control key before clicking the Print/Download icon. (When downloading the student datafile, press Control before clicking “Download File.”) Do not release the key until after the file has downloaded.

AP Instructional Planning Report

Overview:• Subject-specific report showing the performance of

students on the multiple-choice and free-response sections and on specific topics within that AP Exam, compared to all students.

• AP teachers have access to this report: • Helps target areas for increased attention and focus in the

curriculum• Helps guide course planning and professional development.

• Available by section number if your school designated these on students’ answer sheets during the exam administration.

average scores of all AP students worldwide.

• The Group Mean column provides the average scores for your students.

The second page provides a detailed view of students’ performance on specific content categories on the multiple-choice and free-response sections.

AP Scholar Roster: AwardsAP Scholar: Granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP ExamsAP Scholar with Honor: Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these examsAP Scholar with Distinction: Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams

State AP Scholar: Granted to the one male and one female student in each U.S. state and the District of Columbia with scores of 3 or higher on the greatest number of AP Exams, and then the highest average score (at least 3.5) on all AP Exams taken.

National AP Scholar: Granted to students in the United States who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams.

Student Score ReportIndividual, cumulative report for each AP student in your school, listing scores for each AP Exam taken by that student.

Student Datafile

• A downloadable .csv file containing student score report data for each AP student who tested this year.

• Data can be uploaded to other systems for internal analysis and planning.

• Same data previously available in the CD that schools could order for a fee.

AP Equity and Excellence Report• Displays:

• the percentages of your school’s entire 10th, 11th and 12th grade classes who scored a 3 or higher on at least one AP Exam

• the percentage of the senior class that scored a 3 or higher on at least one AP Exam during high school (Graduating Class Summary)

• Helps situate success on the AP Exam within an overall context of equity and access.

►Tip: To see these data, submit your school’s enrollment counts by grade level when first signing in to the exam ordering site in the spring.
