Training materials

How to get started:

1) Please read the training materials and make a list of questions if you have any. Furthermore please get

familiar with the information in the Knowledgebase (you can also find tutorial videos there) in your

Psychic Center.

2) Contact Oranum Support via Skype at ‘oranum.admin’.

3) The Support Team will conduct a technical check. During the technical check we will see if you meet the

technical requirements to work on Oranum (see the requirements below).

4) The final step is the verbal training. During the training we will give you a short intro on Oranum,

answer all your questions and explain how the website works.

NOTE: You can start working only after all these steps are done. Please do not go online on Oranum (Free Chat

or Members Area, however you can explore the Psychic Center) before the training is completed.

The minimum computer requirements are the following:

You will need to have a microphone and speakers or a headset (recommended).

CPU: two-cored (DualCore, CoreDuo, etc) processor, at least 1.8 GHz

RAM: 1GB RAM

INTERNET: 1024 kbit/sec upload speed

CAMERA: HD Webcam (recommended: http://www.logitech.com/product/hd-pro-webcam-c920 or other HD

cameras: http://webcam-review.toptenreviews.com/)

NOTE: Please note that a wireless internet connection can be unstable for video broadcasting, therefore we do

not recommend using it. Please try connecting with a hardwired connection.

First 2 weeks: from beginner to Expert level

All Oranum Experts start on a beginner level with a promotional 0.99 credits/minute price rate. After having

spent 2400 minutes online the higher price per minute rates ranging from 1.49 to 9.99 credits/min will

automatically get unlocked.

During the beginner period Experts are constantly evaluated by the Oranum Support team. This is also the time

for Experts to completely set up their profile:

- Well-presented profile text

- Good quality profile picture

- Good quality preview video

- Schedule (recommended)

In addition professional background and working environment should be arranged.

The requirements for a good profile picture are:

1) Horizontal or vertical picture with a minimum resolution of 640*480 and clearly showing your face.

2) Please do not upload images that have been modified heavily with a picture editor software. Make sure

that the images do not contain any animation, frame or text.

3) Photo background should be spiritual/esoteric.

The first weeks on Oranum.com are essential for your success. During this period you will get familiar with the

system and will learn the basic things such as:

- how to handle your Free Chat;

- how to convert Guests to Members & Members to paying clients;

- how to make successful Private Consultations.

This time is also crucial for establishing your clientbase so once you have increased your price rate your clients

will still come back to you.

When you have succeeded in spending 2400 minutes online please contact the Support Team on Skype to get

information on how to improve your profile and chat operation. Improving your Expert account grants you more

‘Expert Awards’ points –points that determine your position on the website (for further info please check the

‘Expert Awards’ menu in your Psychic Center).

Members Area/Free Chat/Private

Consultation/Demo Reading

Members Area

The Members Area is one of the chat areas you can be when you log in to

Oranum.com. When you are in Members Area, visitors of the website see

that you are available for Private Consultations only. In order to switch to

Members Area from Free Chat, you need to click on ‘Go to Members Area’

in the chat applet. The Free Chat icon turns yellow in this case.

First thing that you should remember about Members Area is that nobody

can see you or hear you when you are in this mode, however, Members

can still take you to a Private Consultation directly without Free Chat. So

please be close to your computer (preferably seated in front of it) when

you are in Members Area. This area should be used for short breaks only.

NOTE: When you are hired for a Private Consultation from Members Area, you receive 40% of your set per

minute price.

Free Chat

While you are in Free Chat mode (the Free Chat icon turns green) all the

Guests and Members can see you and hear you thus you should be nice and

professional. This is your space where you introduce yourself to the clients

so consider it as your own commercial or private TV show. Use it to

advertise yourself. Ask yourself what would you like to hear about yourself

in a commercial and this is what you should be saying to your Clients in Free

Chat.

When you are in Free Chat, all the visitors of the room can see you and hear

you, but they can only type to you. There are 2 types of Oranum visitors:

1. Guests – these visitors will be seen in Free Chat as guest##, where ## is a random number (e.g.:

guest21). They are either not registered visitors or registered members who did not login yet. Guests

cannot buy credits, and therefore cannot take you to a Private Consultation. Please ask them to register

for a free membership and come back to your Free Chat room. They only need a valid e-mail address

and 15 seconds to do that.

2. Members – they have their unique nicknames. Members can buy credits, and can take you to a Private

Consultation. If there is a heart symbol next to a Member’s nickname, it means the Member purchased

credits at least 4 times and s/he is a loyal member.

There will be more than one person in your Free Chat. Always try to greet everybody who comes in to your

room whether it is a Guest or a Member. It is very important to focus on Guests and registered Members

equally, as all the paying clients started as Guests.

NOTE: When you are hired for a Private Consultation from Free Chat, you receive 50% of your set per minute

price.

Kick & Ban buttons

If someone behaves inappropriately or is rude feel free to use the Kick and the Ban buttons. Please do not panic

and do not reply to these visitors. Never take what they say personal and always handle your Free Chat room in

a calm and professional manner. Use the KICK (kicks out the visitor immediately from your room) and BAN

(makes the visitor unable to type to you - effective until you sign out) buttons only if necessary.

KICK: click on a visitor from your list to highlight him and hit the KICK button – this visitor will be immediately

kicked out from your room. Please note that s/he will be able to come back again.

BAN: click on a visitor from your list and hit the BAN button – the banned visitor will not be able to write in your

room for 24 hours or until you log out. This visitor will be able to write in your room next time you log in.

If you need any assistance with Guests or Members, please contact Oranum Admins via Skype.

NOTE: Kick & Ban are not options we want you to use on a regular basis, use it in serious cases only.

Report & Ban function

You can also report a Member by using the REPORT option. In order to report a Member, you need to click on

his/her username in the chat area. The system will offer two options: REPORT and BAN. Once you click on

REPORT, the system will automatically send a report to Support Team. The report will include the Member’s

username and what the Member wrote at the moment you reported him.

The BAN option works the same way as the BAN button.

Whisper function

Oranum Admins can contact you in Free Chat using the so called WHISPER function. If this happens you will see

the Admin text in the same chat box where all the visitors type to you. The color of the text is green by default.

This text is visible only to you, nobody else is able to see it.

NOTE: Please do not reply to Admins in Free Chat. Always use Skype to reply to Admins. Also, please always be

logged in Skype when you are performing online on Oranum so that you and the Support Team can reach each

other easily and immediately when needed.

Private Consultation

When somebody takes you to a Private Consultation, you will hear a

‘funfair’ sound. From the moment you hear it, it is only you and a Member

in the Private chat room. This is when the paying consultation begins. This is

marked by the red Free Chat icon.

The first thing you want to do in a Private Consultation is to make sure that

the Member can see you and hear you clearly. For this you can either call

out to the Member or type a question into the chat box like ‘Can you see

me and hear me well?’. After the Member confirms that everything is

working properly, you can start the reading.

NOTE: Members have the option to turn on their camera and microphone in a Private Consultation. However,

they usually prefer to type.

During a Private Consultation make sure the Member feels that all your attention is fully his/hers. Feel free to

use all your techniques and tools. Take advantage of being on camera: show your tools, cards, show the spread,

and maintain eye contact.

Near the end of the Private Consultation – 2 minutes before your client runs out of credits – you will see a timer

counting down from 120 seconds. This is where the so called QUICKBUY comes into the picture.

QuickBuy is extremely important since it allows Members to top up their balance without having to exit the

Private Consultation by simply clicking on the ADD CREDITS below the chat box and selecting the credit package

they would like to purchase (see image below). Credits will be automatically added to the Members’ balance so

they can continue talking to you. This helps you to prolong the reading and to solve the Members’ problems

more efficiently, provide more guidance and clarity.

NOTE: Only Members who use credit/debit card as their payment method can use QuickBuy.

At the end of the Private Consultation, ask the Member whether s/he was satisfied with the reading. Also, ask

him/her to leave a testimonial. Positive Member feedbacks are very important especially at the beginning of

your work on Oranum. Always ask your clients to come back to your Free Chat after the reading and also to keep

you updated on the situation.

Demo reading

Demo readings are the best way to introduce yourself to the Members in Free Chat, demonstrate your psychic

abilities to everyone and show how you work in a Private Consultation. The Demo reading option can be

activated in your Psychic Center in the ‘Chat Settings’ menu by marking the ‘Give demo readings’ box. In order

to be choosen for Demo reading you also need to post your thoughts through the ‘Share Your Today Wisdom’

feature.

Every 30 minutes the system randomly chooses an Expert from those who are in Free Chat. If the system selects

you, you will see a notification in your chat that you have 10 minutes till the Demo reading: start promoting the

demo reading then and eventually choose a Member from your Member list for the demo. We suggest choosing

someone who has a heart icon -which means that the Member already purchased credits- or you can also pick

one of your regular clients.

Once you chose the lucky one, you can start to connect to him/her. Ask for the information you need for a short

reading (e.g.: name, date of birth). Keep in mind that this is not a free reading; it is a demo reading. Use it to

advertise yourself, let them know what skills and abilites you have.

When the countdown says you have 1 minute left, you can start preparing the reading for the Member. Be

advised that the Demo is supposed to be around 2-3 minutes not more. 1 concrete question and 1 answer. The

goal is to convince this customer that he/she needs to continue the reading in a Private Consultation because

you are on spot, really connected and you have all the answers that he/she needs.

Oranum Expert Software

Oranum Expert Software can be used as an alternative way to come online on Oranum. The main benefit of this

program is that you can be available for paying Members and returning clients all the time. When you launch

the software, it puts you to ‘Online’ mode. This serves as a signal for Members that you are available for Private

Consultations.

Another benefit is that you will have a better position in the Expert list: you will appear right after those in Free

chat. In addition, the software allows you to put yourself in the ‘Currently Busy’ mode (it is the same mode the

system puts you when you are in a Private Consultation). This gives you the opportunity to take a break for 30

minutes maximum.

Basically you can have three statuses: either you are in ‘Free Chat’ so that Guests and Members can see you, hear you and type to you; you can be in ‘Online’ mode when Members (with credits) can call you for a Private Consultation; or you can be in ‘Currently Busy’ mode when you do not want to be disturbed by Members. Please select what fits your mood the best.

The Expert Software is also a remote control for Oranum. You can easily reach your Psychic Center or go to Free

Chat just by clicking on the relevant button.

NOTE: When you are hired for a Private Consultation from the Expert Software, you receive 40% of the set per

minute price.

How to use Oranum Expert Software?

Detailed information about how to install and use the software can be found here (Psychic

Center/Knowledgebase/Technical Support/Expert Software).

You can download the Expert Software from your Psychic Center:

After the installation is completed, simply log in with your Oranum Expert account. You will be in ONLINE mode.

If you want to change your status, just click on the arrow next to ‘Online’ and choose your status from the

dropdown menu: Free Chat, Online, or Busy.

Free Chat: clicking on this option will put you into the Free Chat area.

Online: Whenever a Member requests a Private Reading with you, you will be notified by a call sound. In order

to start the Private Consultation you must ‘Accept’ the call. You will have 30 seconds to answer the call. The

system will automatically take you to the Private chat. The Member will only pay from the start of the Private

Consultation - the waiting time is not charged.

Busy: the page will show that you are ‘Currently Busy’. If you are set to ‘Busy’ for more than 30 minutes the

system will automatically log you out, and you will have to log in again to be online.

NOTE: The software will open your default browser. In case it is not the browser you use for Oranum, you will

need to set up a custom browser for Oranum Software. To do this, just click on ‘Settings’, mark ‘Use Custom

Browser’ and click on ‘Select’.

After clicking on ‘Select’, you will see a separate window where you need to browse for the .exe file (for

Windows) for Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.

For Mozilla Firefox: My computer ---> Local Disk C ---> Program Files ---> Mozilla Firefox ---> firefox.exe

For Internet Explorer: My computer ---> Local Disk C ---> Program Files ---> Internet Explorer ---> iexplorer.exe

In ‘Settings’ you can also choose if you would like Oranum’s Software to start when you turn on your computer.

‘Keep me online’ option should be used if you would like to keep your chosen status after a Private

Consultation. If your status was ONLINE before the Private Consultation, the system will automatically put you

back to ONLINE status after the reading.

By clicking on the ‘Exit’ button you will simply close the software but you will still be online. If you want to log

out completely then click on the ‘Log Out’ button.

How to register and buy credits

Clients may often ask you how to buy credits. This is explained on the Oranum site as well in FAQ for members,

but here are the steps just so you know as well. We would like to suggest that you print out these steps so you

will be able to answer the questions of the clients if they ask you for help about the process.

Step 1. FREE REGISTRATION

When a Guest or Member enters your Free Chat room this is how his interface looks like (see images below). At

this point the new Guest has the possibility to Register on our site as a Member. This can be done in two ways:

- by clicking on the ‘REGISTER FOR PRIVATE READING’ button below the Expert’s video

- by exiting the video and clicking on the ‘JOIN FOR FREE!’ button in the top right corner

After clicking on one of the buttons the Guest will see the registration page where he needs to choose a

username and password and provide a valid e-mail address. After clicking the ‘REGISTER’ button the new

Member will receive an e-mail from Oranum to confirm his/her registration (48 hours are available for this).

Step 2. BUY CREDITS

After the free registration is completed, Members are able to BUY CREDITS. This can be done either by clicking

on the ‘START A PRIVATE READING’ button or by exiting the video and clicking on the ‘BUY CREDITS’ button on

the top right corner (what now replaced the ‘JOIN FOR FREE’ button).

Members can choose different payment methods and currency they would like to pay with based on their

geographical location, and also different CREDITS PACKAGES: (19.99), 29.99, 39.99, 59.99, and 99.99 credits.

NOTE: the 19.99 credit package is available only once for the first purchase.

Payment methods for clients:

The easiest payment method is credit/debit card (MasterCard, Visa). If the client does not own a credit card,

s/he can pay by PayPal, bank wire transfer, by phone (only available from some countries), online check, Ukash,

Click2pay, Directebanking.com and European direct debit.

In case Members ask you about payment methods, always recommend them to check what payments methods

are available in their country. They will see the methods available once they click on the ‘BUY CREDITS’ button.

How to convert clients:

Once you are in Free Chat, you will always have Guests and Members in your room. In order to convert Guests

to Members, you should invite them to register for a free membership. What you can say is: ‘GuestXX, welcome

to my Free Chat room. Please take a couple of seconds to register for a free membership and come back to me.’

You can make several text templates and paste them in your chat box to save time when your room is full. For

example: ‘Welcome to my room! Need answers to your questions? Click on the ‘Start a Private Reading’ button

to get my full attention!’

To convert Members to paying clients, you can use several easy steps:

1. Introduction: introduce yourself, explain what kind of readings you do, what tools you use, (if any) tell

them how many years of experience you have, and in which ways you can help.

2. Tell them exactly what you can do –what techniques you use to give a reading. You can also share your

knowledge about the particular technique you use (usually clients do not know much about Tarot,

astrology, Reiki etc. and they are very interested in finding out more).

3. Ask them typical questions you know how to answer – e.g. find out in which direction your career is

going, are you compatible with your partner, enhance your love passion etc.

4. Explain them how they can get a Private Consultation with you and get their questions answered.

5. You can offer ‘Connection Time Only’ in Free Chat – which means you pick one Member, ask for name,

date of birth, location or whatever you need to start the connection with him/her. Then you can check

your cards or pick up energies, but the Free Chat is too crowded and mixed with too many different

energies. So the only way to go deeper and solve the problems is if the Member gets some credits and

invites you to a Private chat.

6. You can bring some specific topics to discuss in your chat. Take it as your own TV show. You are the

host, introduce the topic and start to talk about it. If you see that somebody is really interested in it,

maybe has questions, then try to focus on that Member and convince him/her that you are the one who

knows the answers for all his/her questions.

Work manners & Rules:

The full list of Oranum Rules can be found in the Knowledgebase in your Psychic Center

(Knowledgebase/Documents/Basic Rules). Please read them before your training with the Oranum Support

Team. Below you can find the overview of Oranum Rules and general requirements for working on Oranum.

It is necessary to be visible on the camera all the time while you are in a Free Chat. Using a phone,

eating or sleeping in the camera area is not allowed. If you need to take a short break - coffee/tea break,

cigarette break – or just to leave the camera area please go to Members Area. Nobody can see you or

hear you when you are in the Members Area.

It is necessary to arrange a professional background preferably with spiritual and esoteric context –

candles, magic balls, carpets, and professional awards are warmly welcomed.

Giving out or asking for personal information are not allowed. E-mail addresses, online messenger IDs

(for example: Yahoo!, MSN, ICQ, etc.), permanent addresses, Facebook names, LinkedIn, account

numbers, etc. are considered to be personal information.

It is strictly forbidden to predict death and discuss political issues, religious views and make racist and

discriminatory statements. Oranum Experts are not allowed to diagnose diseases nor are they allowed

to give advice on medical treatments. Always ask members to visit a doctor in case they ask questions

about health and illnesses.

Oranum Experts are not allowed to give advice on the following topics: investmens, exchange of

securities, personal effects, stocks, or commercial papers, investment and stocks analysis.

Advertising other websites or services is not allowed.

We do not support Experts visiting each others free chatrooms. If complications arise from such

behaviour account suspension may get initiated.

In case E-mail Reading Requests are not answered within 48 hours three times in a row, or useless

characters are used to fill out the answer, the option will be disabled for the given Expert.

In case Private Reading request calls are missed or declined three times in a row due to negligence the

option will be disabled for the given Expert.

NOTE: Violation of any of the Basic Rules, Ethic Codex, Service Agreement & Terms and Conditions can lead to

temporary or permanent suspension from the service. Money deduction can also take place. The Support Team

reserves the right to decide on a case-by-case basis.

Being online in Free Chat means that you will be seen by thousands of people each day. That means thousands

of new stories, thousands of new opportunities. It is up to you and your efforts how much you profit from this.

To maximize your efficiency we have collected some very useful tips for you:

First of all, make sure that you provide the best audio and video quality to your clients. This is the first

thing they see and notice, and this is the channel via you communicate with them.

Please stay positive and smile when you are in Free Chat. Try to greet everybody who comes to your

Free Chat room. Communicate with all the Guests and Members - talk to them all the time, feel free to

initiate conversation and do not wait for them to start communication.

Take care of your background, make it look professional and comfortable for your clients. This way they

can open up to you in the Private Consultations. Don't forget to put some of your tools in the camera

area to make it look more esoteric.

Free Chat area is an area to introduce yourself, talk about your gifts and skills, and demonstrate the

tools you use (if any). Please do not give any direct answers to the clients in Free Chat. You should

inspire them to buy credits and invite them to take you to a Private Consultation.

Free Chat area serves as an introduction step – you are not allowed to give free readings in Free Chat.

This is a FREE CHAT area, not a FREE READING area. You should communicate to your visitors from the

first moment that this is a service everyone has to pay for. Free Chat is a special offer from you and

Oranum where people can connect to you before they pay for their personal reading. After clients

register and buy credits they can take you to a Private Reading where you can answer all of their

questions.

Strategy: polite communication manners, always be friendly and kind to all visitors of your Free Chat. Try

to initiate interesting topics and conversation to get your clients involved. It is allowed to give ‘small’

general predictions to get them interested, e.g. ‘I can see good things coming your way very soon’,

‘Things can be easily improved soon – I can see how and can advise you on that’.

You should make your clients feel that you are their best friend, a person they can count on, that you

always want to and ready to help them. And what is more important that you know how to help them.

Dress code: Always dress up professionally before going online. Looking professional is essential for

being successful on Oranum.

always aspire to make a good impression and make people notice you because of your work and personality.
