Many neighboring city streets adjacent to the project zone are getting upgrades, too. Cleveland Ave. will be getting new pavement, sidewalks, lighting and other aesthetic enhancements between Jack Gibbs Blvd. and Edward St. The work has required a partial, daytime shutdown of one lane of traffic in each direction during the past couple of weeks. This work is expected to be finished by mid-August.

Just south of the I-670 bridge over Cleveland Ave. construction is progressing on a newentrance ramp from Cleveland Ave. to I-670 east and I-71 north and south. The ramp is scheduled for completion by mid-August. The traffic improvements are a great upgrade for the Columbus State Community Collegecampus says Will Kopp, CSCC's Vice President of Marketing and Communications."Cleveland Ave. is a front door to Columbus State's Downtown Campus, and it's a part of ahigher-education corridor that stretches from Columbus State to CCAD to FranklinUniversity. We're excited about the changes and improvements designed by ODOT.They'll provide an attractive facelift for the corridor and, even more important, create additional safety improvements for our students and staff who walk acrossCleveland Ave. every day."
