Glory to Jesus Christ! As you all know that the 51st Melkite Convention this year will be hosted by St. Barbra Melkite Mission in Houston, TX July 5-8, 2018, on Behalf of the Eparchy. As honored as we are to hold this magnificent event, we will not be able to hold a successful one without your support! Your contributions, attendances, and inputs are extremely important specially that his Beatitude our Patriarch Absi will be present to mark his first official visit to the United States since his election; therefore, your church’s representation is essential. The deadline of registration is approaching quickly, and we are less than two months away from the Grant Event. As a friendly reminder, the discounted hotel room price of $89 per night will expire after June 2nd, 2018, therefore, please encourage your parishioners to register as soon as possible. Schedule for Liturgy Intentions THE HOLY GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JOHN
Now on the last, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let
him come to Me and drink. Anyone who believes in Me, as the Scripture says, ‘From within him there shall flow rivers of living water.’” He said this,
however, of the Spirit, whom they who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit had not yet been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. Some of the crowd, therefore, when they had heard these
words, said, “This is truly the Prophet.” Others said, “This is the Christ.” Some, however, said, “Can the Christ come from Galilee? Does not the Scripture
say it is of the offspring of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David lived, that the
Christ is to come?” So there arose a division among the crowd because of Him. And some of them
wanted to seize Him, but no one laid hands on Him. The attendants therefore came to the chief priests and
Pharisees; and these said to them, “Why have you not brought Him?” The attendants answered. “Never
has man spoken as this Man.” The Pharisees then answered them, “Have you also been fooled? Has
any one of the rulers believed in Him, or any of the Pharisees? But this crowd, which does not know the
Law, is accursed.” Nicodemus, the man who had come to Him at night, who was one of them, said to
them, “Does our Law judge a man unless it first gives him a hearing, and knows what he does?” They answered and said to him, “Are you also a Galilean? Search and see that out of Galilee arises no prophet.”
And again Jesus spoke to them saying, “I am the Light of the world. Anyone who follows Me does not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”

البشير يوحنافصل شريف من بشارة القديس في اليوم األخير العظيم من العيد، وقف يسوع وصاح قائال: إن عطش أحد فليأت الي ويشرب. من آمن بي، فكما قال
الكتاب، ستجري من جوفه أنهار ماء حي. إنما قال هذا عن الروح الذي كان المؤمنون به مزمعين أن يقبلوه، فالروح
القدس لم يكن قد أعطى، ألن يسوع لم يكن بعد قد مجد. وإذ سمع كثير من الجمع كالمه قالوا: في الحقيقة هذا هو النبي. وقال آخرون: هذا هو المسيح. وقال آخرون: ألعل المسيح
يأتي من الجليل؟ ألم يقـل الكتاب أن من نسل داود ومن قرية بيت لحم، حيث كان داود، يأتي المسيح. فوقع بين الجمع
شقاق من أجله. وكان أ ناس منهم يريدون أن يمسكوه، ولكن لم يلق أحد عليه يدا. ورجع الخدام الى رؤساء الكهنة
والفريسيين، فقال لهم أولئك: لم لم تأتوا به؟ فأجاب الخدام: إنه ما نطق إنسان قط مثل هذا االنسان. فأجابهم الفريسيون: ألعلكم أنتم أيضا قد ضللتم؟ هل آمن به أحد من الرؤساء أو
من الفريسيين؟ أما هؤالء الجمع الذين ال يعرفون الناموس فهم ملعونون. قال لهم أحدهم نيقوديموس الذي كان قد جاء الى يسوع ليال: ألعل شريعتنا تحكم على انسان ما لم تسمع منه أوال وتعلم ما فعل؟ فأجابوا وقالوا له: ألعلك أنت أيضا من
الجليل؟ ابحث وانظر، إنه لم يقم نبي من الجليل. ثم كلمهم أيضا يسوع قائال: أنا نور العالم، من تبعني فال يمشي في
الظالم، بل يكون له نور الحياة.

Epistle from the Acts of the Apostles When the days of Pentecost were ending, the
disciples were all together in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a violent wind
blowing, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them separate
tongues as of fire, and they settled upon each one of them, and all were filled with the Holy Spirit, and
they began to speak in foreign tongues, as the Holy Spirit granted them to speak. Now, there were staying
in Jerusalem devout Jews from every nation under heaven. And when this sound occurred, a great crowd gathered, and they were astounded because each one heard them speaking in his own language. And all of them, amazed and wondering, were saying to each
other, “Look, are not all these men who are speaking Galileans? How then have all of us heard our own language in which we were born? Parthians and
Medes and Elamites, and inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and
Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Lybia around Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, Jews
also and proselytes, Cretans and Arabs, we have heard them speaking in our own language of the
wonderful works of God.”

منقسمة كأنها من نار، واستقرت على كل واحد منهم. متألوا كلهم من الروح القدس، وطفقوا يتكلمون بلغات اف
أخرى، كما آتاهم الروح أن ينطقوا. وكان في أورشليم رجال من اليهود أتقياء من كل أمة تحت السماء. فلما كان ذلك
الصوت، اجتمع الجمهور فتحيروا، آلن كل واحد كان يسمعهم ينطقون بلغته. فدهشوا جميعهم وتعجبوا قائلين
بعضهم لبعض: أليس هؤالء المتكلمون كلهم جليليين؟ فكيف نسمع كل منا لغته التي ولد فيها؟ نحن الفرتيين والماديين
والعيالميين، وسكان ما بين النهرين واليهودية وكبادوكية وبنطس وآسية، وفريجية وبمفيلية ومصر، ونواحي ليبة عند القيروان، والرومانيين المستوطنيين واليهود والدخالء
والكريتيين والعرب، نسمعهم ينطقون بألسنتنا بعظائم هللا. هللويا

Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom
1.For the faithful people here present who implore the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, let us pray to the Lord. 2.That the Holy Spirit may strengthen us and guide us to attain our ultimate destiny by pleasing Him, let us pray to the Lord. 3.That the Lord God may grant us His abundant mercy and regenerate our life by the grace of the Holy Spirit, let us pray to the Lord. 4.That He may accept our prayer like incense before Him and grant all of us His divine help, let us pray to the Lord. Antiphon Prayer : O Lord, Lover of Mankind, You sent the divine grace of Your All-holy Spirit upon the Disciples. We pray You to grant Him to us. Illumine our hearts with the light of His presence, so that, with restless voices, we may sing hymns of praise to Your All-holy and Undivided Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and always and forever and ever. 1- May the Lord answer you in time of distress; may the name of the God of Jacob defend you. O Holy Counselor, save us who sing to You: Alleluia! 2- May He send you help from the sanctuary; from Sion may He sustain you. 3- May He remember all your offerings and graciously accept your holocaust.
