Book: Bible Basics for Catholics
Author: Dr. John Bergsma
I first bumped into this book (or so I thought) at my
brother’s house. I gave it a look over and asked if I
could borrow it when he was finished. For some rea-
son it looked familiar to me. A week and a half later
I was going through my shelves of books (I promised
myself to do more reading) and low and behold, here
was this book! I scanned the cover and emailed it to
him to let him know I already had it. Then began to
read it immediately.
If you have ever wanted the big picture regarding the
Bible, this is the book to get. It is very easy to read and
lays out God’s plan wonderfully. It all centers around
the word ‘covenant.’ It defines the word and lays out
God’s timeless plan by making a covenant with his
people. I cannot recommend this book enough.
