The best location to follow Panthers attletics on a daily basis is the department’s new offi cial website, which was launched just this past summer –
www.EIUpanthers.com
WEIU-TV telecasts every home football and men’s basketball games as well as select women’s basketball games throughout a 15 county area in east central Illinois. In addition, all football and men’s/women’s basketball contests are broadcast on WEIU-FM, and available through the internet.
Eastern’s athletic success has resulted in extensive media coverage by local, state and national media. Area television stations and newspapers regularly interview Panther coaches and student-athletes, with five television stations and two local newspapers providing coverage.
Fans can also gain an inside look at Panther athletics through a new weekly video feature on the Panthers Official Athletic site –
www.EIUpanthers.com
Each week during school year EIU also hosts a weekly radio coaches show broadcast live on WEIU-FM and streamed live on the internet.
In addition to local coverage, EIU routinely plays on regional and national television with games in recent years airing on CBS, FOX SPORTS NET, CSTV, and the ESPN family of networks.
