Boushey H. Daily versus as needed corticosteroids for mild persistentasthma. N Engl J Med 2005; 352:1519-28.
Barato y accesible a cualquier nivel asistencial.

Definición de exacerbación severa
START: one which required admission or emergencytreatment for worsening of asthma (OC +inh BD) oras death due to asthma.
STAY: ER or use of any medical intervention , oral orincrease of IC or additional treatment) or PEF of70% or less of baseline on 2 consecutive days (callto the investigators)

JM Olaguibel Simposium GSK, Sevilla-2005

Flujo Espiratorio Máximo normal o casi normal

(ACQ)1.
7. VEMS prebroncodilatador y % del teórico

1) During the past 4 weeks, how much of the time did your asthma keep you from getting as much done at work or at home?
2) During the past 4 weeks, how often have you had shortness of breath?
3) During the past 4 weeks, how often did your asthma symptoms (wheezing, coughing, shortness of breath, chest tightness or pain) wake you up at night or earlier than usual in the morning?
4) During the past 4 weeks, how often have you had to use your rescue inhaler or nebulizermedication (such as albuterol)?
5) How would you rate your asthma control during the past 4 weeks?
