Sales Approach

Model of a sales approach would be the same as for any PDS potential client with the exception of:

• A credit check and safety check will be processed. Dean will assist with workers compensation, safety, and violation.

• Sales contact the customer • Sales debrief with George Premo. • A meeting and visit will be set onsite for walk through.

Visitation to shipyard is highly recommended for various reasons --- Safety is #1

• A proposal and bill rates will be put together so that we should know where our margins are.

Pipe Fitters

• Tradesman who lays out, assembles, fabricates, maintains and repairs mechanical piping systems.

• Experience fitting carbon steel, CRES, and copper nickel

• Some knowledge of installing pipe hangers, braze and tack weld qualified.

• 5 years experienced

Pipe Welder

• Tradesman who joins pipe using welding techniques TIG and Stick.

• Naval/commercial required ability to fuse inserts.

• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper nickel pipe using the SMAW (Shielded metal arc).

• GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) mirror welding a plus.

• Minimum five years experience

• Tradesman who joins plate together by using Stick, Fluxcore

• Commercial/naval required skills Multi-pass, All position fillet and butt welds using the following processes: SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), and FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding).

• Ability to properly use fillet and butt weld gauges.    

• Four years experience

• Ability to install, remove, and repair molded insulation which includes fiberglass, calcium silicate, polymide foam, and elastomeric ( rubatex, armaflex) from pipes, bulkheads, components, and ventilation systems throughout various types of ships.  

• Three years experience or more as a marine insulator applying stud mounted insulation on shell, decks, platforms, joiner bulkheads, and overheads.

Shipfitters

• Shipfitters require skills, tack welding, burning, torch heating, ability to comprehend complex structural assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches to include weld symbols, material types, datum and reference lines, comprehend fractional dimensions with use of ruler, tape measure.

• Ability to assemble structural piece parts in accordance with specifications in a quality manner.  

• Four years experience as a first class.
