Reception children’s first walk to our magical forest school...surely one of the best forest school sites in our county! Through the park, pause at the listening tree; over the brook, along the quiet path; cross Friday Street and along the muddy path until finally, 3, 2, 1...run! Older children supported the younger ones while still managing their own self-directed learning. A great morning out, thanks Mrs Slater!

The judgments that OFSTED makes about our school are influenced by how we work with you, our parents, carers; our partners in the educational journey of your children. Their first port of call is the Parent View Pebworth page where you can register and then feed-back about your views of our school. If you could take the time to register on this site and submit your views, we would be very happy, OFSTED judges a high level of responses from parents as a positive sign that you are an active part of the school’s work. Last year, nearly 60% of families took part in this, it would be so encouraging for us if we had that feedback again this year. Thank you to those who have already submitted since September. Please do go online to support your school. Link here: https://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/

Class 3 led our Harvest Service in Church last week. Children spoke
clearly as they explained the messages behind our songs and music.
Once again, our children, who are learning to play the ukulele,
showed their talents as they performed; the singing was joyful and
enthusiastic; the variety of music from such young children was
impressive. As ever, children were ably led by Mrs Iliffe and Mrs
Taylor. My favourite was ’Good day sunshine,’ what was yours?
We have arranged for the Photographer to be in school on Friday November 20th at 9am. We will organise for individual and sibling photos to be taken, this is also for children in Sunflowers Nursery. We will send out more details nearer the date.
Any orders will be back in time for those family Christmas presents and cards.

We enjoyed huge support for our
Bags2School appeal, we lost count
of the number of bags of clothes
that we bought into school. All of
our children brought home copies
of posters designed by KS2 pupils;
we watched with incredulity as the
bags mountain grew, spread,
nearly engulfed my office, spilled
out of the front door…
The result was that we were paid a
fantastic £184 which is being used
by Eco and School Council children
to spend on improvements for our
o u t d o o r e n v i r o n m e n t a l
development (probably new bins
for our bokashi composting).

What might Mary Seacole have
eaten? Children found out today as
part of their Black History Month
learning. Flora and Delita talked
about Jamaica, Bob Marley,
religion and the climate/weather of
Jamaica before sharing food that
included fried plantain and Johnny
cakes.
