possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him,
how can the love of God be in him? 18 Dear children, let us not
love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
Slide 23

weather the global economic crisis..

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CAN INVOLVE SHORT TERM AND LONG TERM
MISSIONARIES HELPING THE POOR TO SUPPLY THEIR OWN NEEDS THE LOVE OF
CHRIST DEMONSTRATED THROUGH US EARNING THE TRUST OF THE COMMUNITY
OPPORTUNITIES TO OFFER THE GIFT OF SALVATION

GOOD MEDICAL OUTCOME APATHYWHATS THE POINT? NOTHING WILL GET
BETTER. DISHONESTYI WILL SAY OR DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET WHAT I
NEED TODAY, EVEN IF IT BELONGS TO SOMEONE ELSE. DEPENDENCYITS NOT

Slide 31
SESSION 3 ANY QUESTIONS?
Slide 32
MATTHEW 5:11 Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute
you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
CHALLENGE VERSE
Slide 33
DO MISSIONARIES DESTROY CULTURE?
Slide 34
ABSOLUTELY
Slide 35
CHRISTIANITY CARRIED BY THE APOSTLES, IS THE BASIS FOR MOST
EUROPEAN AND NORTH AMERICAN CIVILIZATION, HUMAN RIGHTS, GOVERNMENT
AND LAW
Slide 36
MANY OF THE FAMOUS VICTORIAN MISSIONARIES WERE NOT, IN FACT
MISSIONARIES. THEY WERE EXPLORERS AND WERE NOT SENSITIVE TO THE
NEEDS OF THE PEOPLE THEY TRIED TO CONVERT ALONG THE WAY. THEY
BELIEVED THAT EUROPEAN CHRISTIANITY AND CULTURE WAS GODS ONLY PLAN
FOR EVERY NATION.
Slide 37
Missionaries do good things. They feed the poor, they help
build houses and schools. They give away clothing and money to the
needy. SOME RANDOM NEGATIVE COMMENTS
Slide 38
This makes them no different from the Red Cross. What makes
them more insidious is their horrific indoctrination of the masses.
They take advantage of the lack of education and poverty of the
people they are helping. SOME RANDOM NEGATIVE COMMENTS.cntd
Slide 39
The missionaries primary objective is to use works in order to
indoctrinate the people. They believe they have a right to fly to
other countries and tell people how they should be living. SOME
RANDOM NEGATIVE COMMENTS.cntd
Slide 40
What bothers me the most is that these people come back to
their church and feel good about what theyre doing while the
children that really needed help are still starving.
Slide 41
SOME RANDOM NEGATIVE COMMENTS.cntd Why must there be strings
attached? Why cant these people just travel to Africa and help the
needy out of the goodness of their heart?
Slide 42
They are really just nosey, judgmental tourists !! SOME RANDOM
NEGATIVE COMMENTS.cntd
Slide 43
CLASS DISCUSSION Do you find any truth in this? Does it matter
what other people think If so, how could you change their
impression ?
