The Two Basic Building Blocks The Service Gateway :
The Central Access Point to a " smart machines " site
It is an OSGi (*) Service Platform GW between the in-building network(s) and the internet Give access to different local (in building) networks (wireless, Power lines, …) Integrates and abstracts the service components through OSGI Services Includes – Router / Server and Firewall functions Several vendors ( Arcom, C.P. tech, … )
The Service Operator’s Platform :
A " Service Store " accessed via a Portal where the consumer can manage Home Services:
