A Child ’s Life is a UniverseA child like a tree requires an abundance of sunshine, spacious environment, and frequent watering.

The New Hebrew Academy building boasts open, bright spaces with an abundance of natural light, high ceilings, strategically placed windows, closely connected to nature with an outdoor learning deck for each classroom.

The sunshine of warm smiles and caring hearts will soon fill the school’s inspiring, stimulating and spiritually uplifting building. Experiencing our rich Jewish heritage will quench and nurture the thirsty soul of every child. Creating a soothing, safe and joyful sense of community is our goal.

You will have a special place in our space.

Imagine a place where children develop their Jewish identities, and

where your child’s first years can be the most joyous. Imagine a place

where your child is encouraged to observe the world around them,

explore, analyze, investigate and manipulate. Imagine a place where

the students develop the ability to question critically, learn openly, and

communicate effectively; a place which provides the experiences from

which children create knowledge.

You have just imagined Hebrew Academy of Tampa Bay.

It began in 1986 in a small rented space with three preschool students.

From those humble beginnings, over 950 students have walked through

its doors. Today we provide a comprehensive dual curriculum for Jewish

children of preschool age through middle school. Students enjoy an

academically challenging curriculum in both secular and Judaic studies

that seeks to educate the whole child. Burgeoning enrollments coupled

with tight space and limited facilities have escalated the urgent need for

more spacious and conducive quarters to serve the educational needs of

the growing Hebrew Academy.

For almost three decades, Hebrew Academy has dreamed of the day it

would build a suitable home buzzing with the laughter of children, the

pursuit of knowledge and the spirit of community. The day is at hand. The

campaign to build a new space for the Hebrew Academy is underway.

The fulfillment of this dream depends on people of initiative and

compassion, of vision and generosity.

It depends on you.

Hebrew Academy is the space to explore it . . .And the
