In picking areas that demand continuous high performance and quality for long periods of time, people reach the limits of their performance. Industrial robots are therefore a good alternative for this application. For many years in intralogistics, reliable “bin picking” remained an impossible task for technical reasons. With the Pick-it-Easy Robot, KNAPP introduces an innovative automated picking solution that uses industrial robots and opens up new dimensions in logistics.
Pick-it-Easy Robot Fully-automatic robotic picking
The Pick-it-Easy Robot is primarily suited to the efficient and fully automatic picking of the single articles found in a typical slow and medium moving range of goods in the following sectors:
Healthcare Retail Fashion Industry Food Retail
Are you facing high salaries and salary incidentals? Wouldyouliketoefficientlyandautomaticallyhandleyour

Fully-automatic picking by the Pick-it-Easy Robot offers an efficient and economical solution for all these requirements.
Area of application
Many requirements, one solution: Pick-it-Easy Robot
The Pick-it-Easy Robot has various grippers that allow it to optimally process the largest possible article range. The article range specific to the industry places various demands on the gripper technology: the robot gripper is selected according to the type, dimensions and weight of the articles to be processed.

The slow and medium moving article range normally comprises a large proportion of the SKUs in a warehouse. With the fully automatic picking solution Pick-it-Easy Robot, a large number of order lines can be processed efficiently and error-
free despite medium to low inventory turnover rates and the large number of articles needing processing. The Pick-it-Easy Robot thus combines flexibility and reliability with the performance demanded of the picking processes.

Technology
In the fully-automatic picking solution Pick-it-Easy, a state of the art industrial articulated-arm robot is used. A 3D vision system is a further key component of Pick-it-Easy Robot solution. The 3D vision system can recognize objects and determine the grip point with the highest precision.Various types of grippers are available to optimally process the widest possible article range. If several grippers are used in one robot cell, the grippers can be quickly and automatically changed – no manual assistance is necessary.
The Pick-it-Easy Robot is equipped with a comprehensive safety concept. The robot cell is completely enclosed in a secure area and has its own access procedure.

Strong teamwork. Combined with a fast shuttle system, fully-automatic picking solution Pick-it-Easy Robot unleashes its full potential.
The full potential of the fully-automatic picking solution Pick-it-Easy Robot truly unfolds in interplay with other technologies in the warehouse. The combination of a fast shuttle system and a reliable picking robot creates an efficient, fully-automatic goods-to-robot picking process.
1 The shuttle system supplies the Pick-it-Easy Robot with source containers just-in-time. Target containers are automatically guided to the robot cell at the same time.
2 Pick-it-Easy Robot processes one or more orders at the same time completely automatically.
3 The gripper of the articulated arm robot picks the articles – arranged in any position – from the storage container and transfers them to the target container.
4 In keeping with the zero-defect philosophy, Pick-it-Easy Robot identifies any errors directly in the process. They are reported, documented and, if possible, automatically corrected. Otherwise, the affected container is diverted to the check station.
5 After picking, the source container is automatically stored back in the storage system. As soon as the order has been completed, the target container is automatically conveyed out of the robot cell.

Combining the powerful pocket sorter system and the Pick-it-Easy Robot results in an efficient application for multi-channel applications.
Combining the powerful pocket sorter system and the Pick-it-Easy Robot results in an efficient application for omni-channel applications.
1 Containers with goods, such as batch orders or returns, are directed to the robot cell.
2 Pick-it-Easy Robot takes the articles fully-automati-cally from the load carrier (container, tray, carton) and transfers the article on a single item basis into a pocket.
3 After the transfer, the pockets are automatically conveyed out of the robot station for further processing, e.g., for order-related picking or storage in buffer zones, etc.
