Dear Submitter,

Fingerboards Mineral Sands Project Inquiry and Advisory Committee - Hearing Timetable (v1)

Please find attached the Inquiry and Advisory Committee’s (IAC) Hearing Timetable in relation to the Fingerboards Mineral Sands Project.

As discussed at the Directions Hearing, the IAC is planning for the hearing to be a hybrid between videoconference and limited in-person submitter attendance in the region (depending on Covid restrictions). Participants with significant cases and/or calling evidence such as Kalbar the Proponent, Mine Free Glenaladale, East Gippsland Shire Council, Government agencies and community groups will be heard via videoconference, and some individual submitters. The remainder of the community submitters will be heard in person in the region (depending on Covid restrictions).

Please note a number of submitters with residential addresses out of the region (for example Melbourne) have been scheduled via videoconference for convenience.

The videoconference Hearing link will be provided closer to the start of the hearing in February 2021.

The IAC reserves the right to hold the entire Hearing by videoconference if the Covid situation deteriorates to the point where an in-region part face to face Hearing is not possible.

If you have any queries regarding the timetable, please contact Amy Selvaraj via email on [email protected].

Yours sincerely,

Nick Wimbush

Inquiry and Advisory Committee Chair
