Ladder 6 The main focus I had while designing my fire house was quality of life for the inhabitants. Many firehouses become dark sealed off buildings because exposure to UV rays can degrade fire-fighting equipment, potentially putting safety at risk. My design allowed for a great deal of northern and filtered light to promote greater happiness for the occupants without damaging their equipment or jeopardizing their safety.

Art urbaine Scope: to break the compartmentalization of the site by connecting it with adjoining natural features, including Villa Sciarra and Monte Testaccio, using a series of interventions that include the addition of a pedestrian bridge and boulevard, clearing out and producing Parco Portuese: a series of softscapes along the riverfront, as well as reapportioning pedestrian pathways throughout the site. These interventions will attract residents of the three adjacent districts into this system, thereby providing a thoughtful threshold between the area’s natural and urban features.

Ludus Magnus Scope: A project to revitalize the old Via Papalis route through Rome, Italy. My design reformed the area around the Colosseum, providing public space surrounding a new museum that celebrates the story of the gladiators.
