POST SHOW REPORT

OCTOBER 31 – NOVEMBER 2, 2017 WERE THE DAYS, WHEN THE MAIN AGRICULTURAL EVENT OF AUTUMN – THE INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF EFFECTIVE SOLUTIONS FOR AGRIBUSINESS ‘‘AGROCOMPLEX 2017’’ – WELCOMED ITS PARTICIPANTS AND VISITORS.

� e exhibition was supported by Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, Association ‘‘Ukrainian Agribusiness Club’’, National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Germany, German Agricultural Society DLG and Economic O� ce at Embassy of France to Ukraine.

� e governmental authorities, who were present at the ceremony of the o� cial opening, pointed out that the exhibition ‘‘AgroComplex 2017’’ is an integral part of modern agro-technological sector and has its individual concept idea.

All these factors greatly in� uence agriculture and agro-food sector of our country. I am con� dent, that at this exhibition today you will de� nitely � nd what you are looking for, because the structure of the exhibition is well-designed. You will � nd all the necessary elements starting from manufacture up to the � nal consumer: economic market information, seeds and gardening, inner logistics, machinery, technologies and equipment – in a nutshell, everything a modern manufacturer needs’’.

THE SCOPE OF PARTICIPATING COMPANIES

� e scope of participating companies also proves technological direction of the exhibition and its large scale. Among the participants of the exhibition there are such world-famous seed companies as Limagrain, Maisadour Semences, DSV (Deutsche Saatveredelung AG), RAGT Semences, as well as Ukrainian companies Rost Agro, MAIS Company, APK Mais LLC, Selecta, VNIS and others.

� e companies, which o� ered complex technological solutions for horticulture, include Agrimatco, Himagromarketing, Dnipro Association-K, Agro Marketing Group, APK-Group, BTU-Center and others.

Undoubtedly, it is impossible to imagine e� ective technologies without highly productive modern machinery. Visitors of the exhibition had a chance to get technical expert consultations from a range of renowned companies, for instance, KUHN, Vaderstad, Berthoud, Gaspardo, Agrimatco, ROPA, MZURI, Trimble, KMZ, Big Dutchman, Grimme, Frank Lemex, Agrokhim, Agrarian Industrial Company and others.

� e exposition of domestic manufacturers of trailers and sprayers was unprecedentedly huge. Such companies as Veles Agro, Ltd. joint venture Krasnyansky ‘‘Agromash’’, Agromash-Kalina, Lvivahromashproekt, OZSM Agrotech, Orikhivsilmash, LLC ‘‘Vinmashpostach’’, Technopol, Soroka I.F. and many others presented at the exhibition not only their traditional lines of products, but also many interesting new inventions.

BUSINESS PROGRAM OF THE EXHIBITIONA rich business program of events with participation of famous Ukrainian and foreign experts of agrarian sector took place at the exhibition, which allowed operators of domestic market to � nd optimal solutions for the actual problems.

� is year ‘‘AgroComplex’’ for the � rst time has exceeded the framework of an exhibition project, in 2017 the managing team of the exhibition created a special project named

‘‘Agro Test Field 2017’’.

What is ‘‘Agro Test Field 2017’’?From March till November 2017 the organizer together with seed and resource companies in real conditions of households in steppe and forest steppe zones of Ukraine tested 63 corn hybrids. From the beginning of the sowing campaign to the crop harvesting, the team of the project monitored key technological operations, consequences of force majeure situations and e� ciency of the decisions the specialists of these households made.

Results of ‘‘Agro Test Field’’ were highlighted and discussed during the � nal agrotechnological forum ‘‘Corn. Architecture of Cost. Test 2017’’, which was held on November 1 at the exhibition

� e following questions were in the focus of participants of the Agrotechnological Forum: – analysis and prospects of corn market development; – peculiarities of the use of No-Till technology in corn

growing; – application of anhydrous ammonia and poultry

manure as non-ballast fertilizers;– programs of anti-stress protection for plants (against

frost, drop of temperature at night, droughts);– methods to control weeds;– application of Trichogramma by UAVs and control

of e� ciency.

BUSINESS PROGRAM OF THE EXHIBITION

Round table: ‘‘Agrarian Ukraine. Concept of the world’s leadership’’

Goal: to attain a holistic understanding of the concept and ways how Ukraine can gain the positon of the world’s leader as a developed agrarian and industrial country.

Main topics of the round table:– What type of country should Ukraine become on

the international arena: export oriented economy that produces raw materials or highly industrial country with technologically developed agriculture, manufacturing of material and technical resources and food industry?

– What agricultural model does Ukraine follow: large-scale production with maximum concentration of land resources in the hands of one household owner or the model of family farm corporation with middle-sized land bank?

– How to � nd common points for the subjects of all chains of agro-industrial complex in order to provide synergic development of agricultural economy with related industries and development of rural areas?

International conference: ‘‘From survival to development.Successful experience of the use of cooperation tools and � nancial and credit institutions’’

� e main goal of the conference was to help small and medium agricultural manufacturers to choose e� ective organizational models of cooperation and schemes of attraction resources, which will ensure growth of economic indicators of the business and stable development of rural areas. � e event was aimed at small and medium-sized agribusiness, as well as everyone who is willing to develop innovative approach and is looking for additional opportunities to realize his own and collective business ideas.

BUSINESS PROGRAM OF THE EXHIBITION

� e day of a young specialist ‘‘Your professional start’’

Where can one � nd a young specialist? Surely, at ‘‘AgroComplex 2017’’!

Around 400 students of agricultural universities took part in the Day of a young specialist ‘‘Your professional start’’, which was held on November 2 as a part of the exhibition. It was the third time when the event was organized and it was expected to help students and graduates to � nd their � rst cherished job!

� is year the number of leading agro-industrial companies and agroholdings, which participated in the job fair, was a record: KERNEL, ІМК, Cygnet Agrocompany, ED&F Man Ukraine, Nibulon, High Field, Agrosem, Svarog West Group, Agro Legion, Group of companies VITAGRO, Timac Agro Ukraine, Jupiter 9 Agroservice, Danone Ukraine.

� e event was organized and held by the portal ‘‘Agrocareer’’ together with Kyiv International Contract Fair, LTD. and State Agency Research Guidance Center ‘‘Agroosvita’’ with the support of Association ‘‘Ukrainian Agribusiness Club’’.
