Present Perfect Tense
Haber + Past participle
In English
• The present perfect describes an event or action that has taken place. It is formed by combining the verb has or have and the past participle of the main verb.
• I have repaired the microwave.• He has done the homework.
In Spanish
• The present perfect tense is formed by conjugating the verb haber in the present tense and adding the past participle of the main verb.
• In the present perfect tense, the past participle always ends in –o.
Haber
• To conjugate Haber in the present tense:
• He hemos• Has habéis• Ha han
The present perfect
• 1. conjugate haber• 2. add present participle of the main
verb(always ends in o when it is part of the present perfect)
• Ella ha ido de tapas. She has gone out for tapas.
• Rosa nunca ha robado nada. Rosa never has stolen anything.
