WHY AN EXCHANGE?
• Once in your life time opportunity before starting your professional
career.
• Distinction on labour market: companies are looking for international
oriented, independent, flexible, open-minded and English language
skilled employers.
• Networking: new friends and international (business) contacts for the rest
of your life.
• Broaden your academic knowledge by doing courses abroad other than
the ones in your master programme, f.e. finance, marketing etc.
• Academic challenge: you compete, study and work with the best students
in the world.
BUT:
• An exchange prolongs your master programme (in general ½ year (tuition
fee).
• Involves extra costs for: flight ticket, visa, insurance, accommodation,
living, books, living & travel expenses, + € 5.000–8.000 for 1 regular term
of 17 weeks.
HOWEVER: there are many ways to reduce your costs (grants,
subletting your room etc.).
