About Pasvalys
Our town is named after the river, so ”PASVALYS” means”the town by the river Svalia”The main industries are :
Food Industry and Agriculture,
Pasvalys – land of rivers, plains and sinkholes

About our schoolHistory of the school / the institution: Pasvalys Lėvens Basic School was opened on 1 September, 1987.In 1987 there were 861 schoolchildren and 55 teachers working
full time.
Number of students now: There are 13 class groups of pupils aged 7-15.Due to the emigration problem the number of pupils has
decreased to 330 students altogether. There are 40 teachers working full timeProfile of the school :In our school there are many gifted pupils we are proud of, who are the winners of local/ National prizes in English, Maths, IT, Sports, etc. We have also integrated some children with special needs (low intellect, hyperactive, emotional disturbance, specific learning disabilities). We have been constantly searching for new methods of learning and ideas how to satisfy every pupil’s needs that is why we are active participants in many Erasmus+ projects

• Background of the students and families at the school :
Pupils of our school are of different origins, backgroundsand statuses. Some of the pupils come from broken orsingle-parent families. In our school we have been working under the special educational plan which is integrated to be suitable for all kinds of pupils to satisfy their needs.
There are many clubs and circles which our pupils can join after school.
The Robotics club is one of the most popular ones
• Experiments in the following photos are conducted by the author of the book Renata Česūnienė –Dr. Of Science, Chemistry teacherand her husband Laurynas Česūnas.
• Their aim is to present young learners Science as one of the most exciting areas to explore
We organize plenty of interesting events and workshops for our pupils.
The most exciting and unforgettable one was “The Adventure of a Happy Flask” book presentation.
We cooperate with the Public Health center,
the Parents’ Cluband together organize thelectures and workshops
