1. the engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity – kick-starting healthy active lifestyles

Pupils are clear of what is needed for healthy lifestyles and that an active lifestyle is part of this..Increase children walking to school.

1.Balanceability 'Learn to Cycle' programme – Planned into EYFS provision using the balance bikes. Balance bikes to be serviced. 2. Continuation with participation in walk/bike to school initiatives. Increased focus on the walk to school impact. 3. Playground markings upgraded and enhanced equipment in place to ensure children are actively involved during break and lunchtimes in physical activity.

£200 £2500 line markings for playground and EYFS

£50 £2327

Children given the opportunity to part take in learning how to balance/ride a bike provided by MSP Stegosaurus completed in school and Big pedal. Paint pebbles for children to hide in the community. Consider current line markings. Gather quotes for new line markings and put in place in line marking/ equipment. MSP to provide two lunch activities a week and work with lunch time staff to continue activities on other days.

The school’s bikes were serviced. The impact of this is that EYFS children were able to take part in a Bikeability programming using the school bikes and they have then demonstrated the skills learnt within the EYFS provision. This is a life style of learning how to ride a bike and strengthen the children body strength and balance that is needed for pedal bikes. The EYFS teacher has been working with the coach using school bikes; this means Bikeability can be sustainable in school.

Big pedal took place in April, this promoted the children to walk, bike or scoot to school, encouraging a healthier life style. We also took part in sports relief. Completing challenges throughout the day.

To encourage the children to complete a mile a week within school time to continue to encourage a sustainable healthy life style/ choices. Lunch time staff to continue to demonstrate to the children how to use the new line markings.
