By highlighting the disengaged children we can focus our attention on ensuring that they are involved in school sport through Change 4 Life clubs, Play Leader led activities, attending festivals and engaging them through the raised profile of sport in school with the aim of encouraging them to lead a healthy, active lifestyle.

£150 LG Each term Autumn Spring Summer

Change 4 Life Clubs (four per week, 5 in summer term – martial arts)

Change 4 Life clubs aim to encourage the health and wellbeing of the children in school. They will target disengaged children highlighted through Termly Review (see previous point).

Assessment – Learning Ladders (subject specific) to be built using core tasks

To monitor the progress (in PE) of each child as they progress through the school from EYFS through to Year 6 in conjunction with our new assessment system. The system also allows children to self assess and take control of their own learning.

Using sport to impact on whole school SMSC education through a variety of extra-curricular clubs and in the build up to the Olympics (Bollywood Dance Club)

Ensuring that our PE ethos encompasses all areas of the curriculum with a focus on SMSC and that children are aware of the importance of the sporting values which relate to national and
