Secret Sentence SpyAsk your parent to write a secret sentence, with a tricky word where possible, in big letters then cut the sentence up and place each word around the room or even in the garden.

Ask your parent to read the first word and you must go and find it. Once you have all the words, lay them out in a line and read the sentence to your parent.

Practice learning your tricky words

Ask your child to read the words and plan how to read the sentence with the words in the correct order.

You could cut the words up to make the activity a bit easier where your child can physically move the words around until they make sense.
