CROWN:used to transfer the rotating movement from the winder tube (5) to the limit switch, and to count the number of turns. This takes place with both electromechanical and electronic limit switches. It is inserted and made to slide until the end of the tube, to cover the white ring of the limit switch. The crown, which is usually coupled with a pulley, is chosen depending on the shape (i.e. rounded, octagonal, with ogive, etc.) and diameter of the winder tube.

PULLEY:it serves to transfer the rotating movement from the low-speed shaft to the winder tube (5). It is assembled onto the low-speed shaft and secured by way of a clip (3). The choice of pulley depends on the shape and dimension of the winder tube.

CLIP:for fastening the pulley, positioned on low-speed shaft of the tube.

SQUARED SAFETY

INSERT:serves to connect the gearmotor to the support (7a). It is inserted into the limit switch and, thanks to its square shape, ensures safe and sound anchoring of the limit switch to the support, which is in turn secured to the box or wall.

WINDER TUBE:the gearmotor is inserted into the winder tube onto which the shutter will be later secured. The rotating movement of the gearmotor is transferred to the winder tube by the pulley (2). For safety reasons, a screw is sometimes fitted between the pulley and the winder tube.

TELESCOPIC CAP:it serves to adapt the length of the winder tube (5) to the actual dimensions of the box or window case. It is fitted onto the winder tube and, once the length is adapted, is coupled to the bearing(7c): see point 7.

SUPPORTS:two supports (7a) and (7c) are needed to anchor the winder tube to the box. These are assembled onto the ends walls of the box or window case. Once the supports are assembled, first the winder tube is anchored on the side of the gearmotor by inserting the square safety pin (4) into the support (7a) and then securing it by way of a split-pin (7b), and then on the opposite side, by inserting the telescopic cap pin (6) into the bearing support (7c).

SHUTTER-TUBEATTACHMENT SYSTEM:this system lets you secure the shutter to the winder tube. Using the special JOLLY BLOCK safety system, moreover, prevents any forced raising of the roller shutters from the bottom (i.e. attempted break-ins).

Alternatively, without the JOLLY BLOCK safety function, the shutter can be fastened to the winder tube a traditional clamp method with accessories (i.e. hook for attaching a roller clamp and hook for roller shutters with cut-resistant slot.)

The JOLLY BLOCK safety system is not recommended suggested for use with electromechanical limit switches.

The system used to assemble a gearmotor into a winder tube is identical for both shutters and awnings. For both shutters and awnings the pulley-crown and supports can be of different kinds. This depends on the type of limit switch, the dimensions and shape of the winder tube, the roller shutter box features or the wall onto which the gearmotor is assembled.

WEIGHT BEARING BOOM:this is used to support the entire awning-gearmotor assembly. It is directly applied to the wall from which the awning will descend. The two awning arms (B) are assembled onto the weight bearing boom, as are the 2 brackets (D) that fasten the winder tube to the awning.

AWNING ARMS:these serve to guide the awning’s movement. They consist of two metallic bars, joined by a spring; this keeps taut the awning fabric, which is joined at the top end to the winder tube and at the bottom end to the front bar (C), even while the awning wound up. In fact, while the awning is wound up, the spring tension is contrasted and overcome by that transferred by the winder tube to the awning fabric, which causes the two arms to fold onto themselves.

FRONT BAR:is used to fasten the bottom end of the awning fabric.

BRACKETS:are used to fasten the winder tube onto the supporting rod (A).

ORDER AND ORDER CONFIRMATION – all orders must be sent in writing by fax, mail or email. The order date will be that in which the document is received and that appearing on the order document. Once received, confirmation is issued complete with all the conditions and detail of applicable prices and is sent to the client to check over and accept.

The client must accept the order in written form, and sign in the “sign for acceptance” box, then fax the accepted order back to Jolly Motor. At this stage the order is fully complete and is passed on to production. If nothing transpires within 48 hours of the sending of the confirmation, the same shall be deemed as tacitly accepted in its entirety.

SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY DATE – Deliveries are usually made 3 weeks from the accepted order date. Any special requirements will be agreed, time by time, with the client and depending on production schedules. Any delays due to force majeure cannot warrant any indemnification for damages nor annulment of the order. The goods are always delivered ex works, and can, upon request, be delivered carriage free, charged on the invoice.PRICES – the listed prices are in EURO. This price list may be changed at any time without prior warning if costs of any nature were to increase. Prices do not include VAT, bank expenses and any other fiscal increase.PAYMENTS – payments must be made via bank order within 60 days following the end of the month with respect to the invoice date, unless particularly agreed otherwise with Jolly Motor. For any payment delays or irregularities Jolly Motor reserves the right to apply what is set forth in European directive 2000/35/CE as concerns payments, and the same will immediately suspend all supply of goods until the overdue payment is received. Payments made by check or bills are accepted subject to collection. Goods sold belong to the seller until total payment has been received for them.GUARANTEE – all of the products on the catalogue are backed by a basic 2-year guarantee starting from the production date appearing on each product bearing the Jolly Motor trademark or any other own trademark. Excluded from this are geared motors with electro-mechanical limit switches and manual action, electronic components and relative accessories that are already covered by the basic guarantee.APPLICATION OF THE GUARANTEE – the guarantee covers any manufacturing flaws and is limited to repairs or replacement of any flawed piece, with no other reimbursements of sorts or extensions on the guarantee. Jolly Motor does not accept returned goods without having given its prior agreement (by way of the RMA procedure which must be requested from the Commercial department). Any pieces replaced under warranty remain the property of Jolly Motor. Shipping costs, even for items repaired under guarantee are charged to the client, either when being shipped back to Jolly Motor or back to the client. The guarantee is exclusively applied to Jolly Motor products and not to the project or system into which said products are being fitted, and requires no obligation to intervene on the application location, but exclusively in the machine shop where they were manufactured.LIMIT TO THE GUARANTEE – the guarantee does not cover the following: normal wear and tear, wrong set up or not following the assembly instructions (i.e. powering anything other than doors of sorts and awnings in homes) and, in general, from stocking conditions, usage conditions, environmental and weather conditions, chemical, electric or otherwise, which are inappropriate or not specified at the time of ordering. The guarantee immediately expires if the product is tampered with or the geared motors are employed for scopes other than those intended, or with electrical and mechanical accessories that are not approved by our technical service. Jolly Motor is not liable for damage, direct or indirect, to people or things due to improper electric or mechanical installation, and in case not compliant to what is specified in the instruction booklet. Expenses related to the breaking down or reassembly of materials under guarantee cannot in any case be taken into consideration.USE OF THE PRODUCTS AND INSTALLATION – All necessary precautions must be taken to ensure a state-of-the-art installation for proper functioning of the motor system / application. Nominal loads for which the motors have been designed must be respected, as must be the (IP44) protection ratings shown on the ID tag, and the warnings and limitations for assembly and installing shown in the instructions that come with the product. Jolly Motor motors and automation devices are engineered to be applied on doors and awnings in construction (i.e. shutters, awnings, screens, etc..) which do not require intensive use. Said products must be always and in any case be installed CEI electrical standards and other current, specific legislation. If Jolly Motor products are re-sold to any third parties, the latter must accept the guarantee conditions specified by Jolly Motor International. Jolly Motor International’s liability with respect to third parties cannot exceed that which Jolly Motor International has with the first direct buyer.REPAIRS – Repairs are made within 4 weeks from receiving the material at our warehouse. If the client wishes to receive an estimate of the repairs, this must be stated during the “request for authorisation on returns” phase. Jolly Motor does not accept any claims for repair expenses that are made known following the repairs with the usual report and Jolly Motor will consider, on a case-by-case basis, even the age and defect level of the item, and convenience or otherwise to repair. In the latter case the item will be considered as unfit to repair and returned to the client. Even if the item is free of any flaws, and is checked or tested or considered unfit to be repaired, Jolly Motor will charge € 10,00 for each product. Packaging and transport expenses payable by the client when shipping to us or back to the client.PACKAGING – When the goods are received by the client, the client should receive and verify the proper state and point out any reservations to the delivery person stating them on the Transport Papers. The goods, even when delivered carriage paid, charged or not on the invoice, travel at the addressee’s risk and peril.CHECKS AND CLAIMS – the addressee must check the goods when receiving them. This requires checking the state, weight, quantity and product type. No claim can be considered after 10 days of receiving the goods. Any disputes shall be processed by the Court of Rovereto (TN).
