GenbanSCA Timber offers the Japanese market traditional solid-woodproducts intended as raw materials and building materials inwood constructions. Our wood products are made from slow-grown northern Swedish spruce, which with its excellent fibrecharacteristics, small knots and tight growth rings is highly suitable to various end-uses.

Gluelam materialSCA Timber offers customer-specific wood products for manu -facturing gluelam beams. These beams are used as structuralelements in ceilings and walls where high strength is needed orwhere the span is so great that it is not possible to use traditionaltrusses. SCA Timber’s wood has naturally excellent fibre qualitiesand tight growth rings that make it highly suitable for productionof laminated wood products, especially for larger buildings wherethe wood is visible.

LaminaSCA Timber offers the Japanese market lamina designed forpoles and beams. Our lamina are manufactured from customstocks of slow-grown northern Swedish pine/spruce. The rawmaterial’s excellent fibre characteristics and tight growth ringsgive it naturally high strength.

Pressure-impregnatedwood

The NTR/A protected woodclass is intended for wood in

permanent contact with soil or fresh wateror in constructions above ground in whichpersonal safety demands that it does notweaken or in situations where it is difficult to inspect or replace.

Applications of class NTR/A impregnatedwood include posts, balconies, gardenwood and freshwater constructions(docks, etc.).

The NTR/AB protected woodclass is intended for wood that

is exposed to weather and wind or con-densation but is not in contact with soil orwater and where replacement of damagedportions and personal safety are not theforemost concerns.

Applications of class NTR/AB impregnatedwood include fences, planking, trellises,pergolas, deck/patio flooring and play -ground equipment.

Environment The impregnation contains copper and a quaternary ammonium compound as theand protection: active ingredients. Penetration class P8 in accordance with SS-EN 351-1. Take-up an

penetration of the medium is at least 30 kg/m3 (NTR/A) or 19 kg/m3 (NTR/AB) in sapwood (= full penetration in sapwood).

The impregnated wood complies with SS-EN 351-1 and NTR (Nordic Wood Protection Council) document 1:1998. The wood is compliant with risk class 4 (NTR/A) and risk class 3 (NTR/AB) according to SS-EN 335-1. Impregnation is SP-certified by Sweden’s Technical Research Institute. Additional information is available in the enclosed product information.

Protective Processing of impregnated wood should be avoided. Ensure adequate ventilation if measures: processing cannot be avoided. For indoor protection, a breathing mask (half mask with

P2 particle filter) is recommended.

Waste Waste is handled according to instructions from the municipality’s environment office. processing: It may only be burned in plants approved for this purpose.
