PROJECT PROPOSAL: LIFELONG LEARNING PROGRAMME 2011-2013. STRATEGIC PRIORITIES 2013

Subprogramme: KA1 POLICY Action Category: MULTILATERAL NETWORKS Action: KA1 Networks (Transversal program, file 47) Description of the proposal: 1.3.1 Promotion of lifelong learning strategies including possible transition itineraries from different sectors of education and training. The Health systems are immersed in deep changes to meet the health needs of a changing society and a very important economic crisis. Advance new strategies to address these health needs, as to incorporate into the system the nursing profiles that are able to develop of a cost-effective manner, specific competences to respond to certain health situations. The incorporation to European area of Higher education provides the recognition of new academic developments for nursing training: Bachelor, Master and Doctorate. It has also been incorporated in many European countries the training in different nursing specialties together with training in new roles advanced practice nurses. Planning is necessary for the training processes from the consensus and cooperation between different European countries and regions interested in identifying the most appropriate roles or profiles nurses, in order to develop shared networks that enable to develop that enable the implementation of common lifelong learning strategies, recognition systems and professional mobility of these new roles nurses in the framework of countries and regions in Europe to integrate this project. Leader: Andalusian Regional Ministry of Health and Welfare According to Article 5 of Decree 152/2012, of June 5, by establishing the organizational structure of the Andalusian Regional Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Andalusian Health Service, the General Secretariat of Quality and Innovation is responsible for the function of analysis of needs and strategic planning of training policies, professional development and professional accreditation in the Andalusian Public Health System. In development of its functions, the Andalusian Regional Ministry of Health and Welfare of the Government of Andalusia (Spain) is interested in leading the proposed project. Specifically, has experience coordinating a Comprehensive Plan of the Strategic Training for Andalusian Public Health System, which rises to a strategic level, the interest in the training of quality of the professionals for Andalusian Public Health System. This plan involves the carrying of a deep and comprehensive analysis of the process of training of health professionals throughout all stages of education (undergraduate, graduate and continuing education).

Based on this plan, the Regional Ministry intends to present this project proposal in order to deal with its content in a wider field as is the European Union, focusing on the professional profile of nursing. So far, the people who have shown interest in participating in the project are: the Directorate of Education of Thessaly from Greece and National Agency for Vocational Education and Training from Bulgaria. Partner search: We are looking for at least 4 partners with the profile of national or regional ministries in charge of Higher education or training in Health, preferably in the field of nursing.
